Volumes for these two types of registered deeds are declining since their peak in
2009.
This downward trend has increased for foreclosures while it has slowed down for 60
day notices.
Current volumes are similar to those of 2008, right around the start of the last global
recession, but they are trending down.

The above chart shows the quarterly volumes, to help get a better
understanding of the trends.
For 60 day notices, we are seeing for the first time since 2005 that the
volumes for 20121* are smaller than the volumes for 20114*.
We observe the same trend for foreclosures but need to go back as far
as 2004 to find a similar situation.
* Quarters are labeled following the YYYYQ or Qn YYYY naming convention. For
example, the first quarter of 2004 will be labeled as 20041 on the above chart, or as
Q1 2004 in the Administrative Regions statistics, appearing on following pages.
