The unit utilizes a packaged refrigeration system in conjunction with an active titanium silica gel desiccant wheel. The HCU operates cost-effectively because all of the energy required for the regeneration of the desiccant wheel is recycled from the condenser waste heat. Product Description
The Munters HCU product line offers an energy efficient advancement in dehumidification. The design combines cooling and desiccant dehumidification technologies in one package, utilizing the waste heat from the cooling cycle to reactivate the desiccant wheel. This unique, patented feature allows effective temporary control of buildings, enclosures and industrial structures for condensation and corrosion control as well as temporary climate control and aggressive structural drying. In hot humid climates, the Munters HCU dehumidifier out-performs all other technologies with less energy and comfortable outlet temperatures.
