Cramping During Early Pregnancy

(Article 1) During pregnancy, a woman may experience so many changes psychologically and physically. Some pregnant women handle it lightly but some may have trouble adjusting to the changes. Like for example, not all pregnant women experience morning sickness or the nausea and vomiting, but there are women who had experience the nausea and vomiting during the first trimester of pregnancy. Some women may feel light cramping when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine wall. This can take place as early as six to eight days after fertilization. You may experience some light bleeding or "spotting" when the egg implants itself. Apply a heat pad to your lower abdomen to relieve the abdominal cramps. Make sure it is not too hot to be uncomfortable! Do not take drugs that are not allowed and prescribed by your doctor, drugs like ibuprofen and NSAIDS are harmful during pregnancy. Your doctor may prescribe an acetaminophen for pain relief though. So, bleeding in first trimester can be a proof of a miscarriage if only it is too much in quantity, is red in color, and is becoming heavier day by day rather than getting lighter. Further, besides heavy implantation bleeding during early pregnancy, a woman might also experience severe cramps in the lower belly. However, heavy bleeding including clots is not the only warning sign of miscarriage. Cramps in early pregnancy can also be an indicator of a more serious condition, like an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg doesn't make it to the uterus where it needs to grow, and stops in the fallopian tubes instead. You will probably find this out in the first six weeks. If treated early on, and ectopic pregnancy can be managed without harm to your or the baby. One way you can treat frequent mild cramps during early pregnancy is by using a heating pad. Applying it to the lower abdomen works really well for most women. If need be you can go ahead and take acetaminophen. This is a good pain relief medication. Remember that this is early in the pregnancy and you can only test positive after a few days. A great number of women however get an early miscarriage. This means that you can have all the signs of pregnancy such as cramps but later on start bleeding and your menstruation comes. The first dots of blood can be an early miscarriage though just followed by your monthly menstruation. Constipation, gas and changes to the digestive system- Blood flow is increased during early pregnancy and higher progesterone levels may slow down the digestive system. This may cause a woman to feel more bloated and uncomfortable. Because the digestive system is slowed down, constipation may occur. Gas and digestive problems may be another cause of mild cramping in early pregnancy. Along with cramping you are likely to observe some other symptoms like morning sickness, fatigue, nausea, elevated body temperature, tender breasts and many more. Cramping is a very normal thing during pregnancy. Regular visit to the doctor is essential to understand the change in your body and the development of your baby.

Reaction
I agree that Cramping in pregnancy is very normal but only in adult! Because the adult can ask the other women had already done in the stage of pregnancy but the teenager couldnt ask the other because they are teen to ask that questions. So I conclude that cramping in teenagers have already pregnant that cramping is not normal to them.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention 2010-2015

(Article 2) As part of the President's Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (TPPI), CDC is partnering with the federal Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) to reduce teenage pregnancy and address disparities in teen pregnancy and birth rates. The OASH Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) is supporting public and private entities to fund medically accurate and age appropriate evidence-based or innovative program models to reduce teen pregnancy. The purpose of this program is to demonstrate the effectiveness of innovative, multicomponent, communitywide initiatives in reducing rates of teen pregnancy and births in communities with the highest rates, with a focus on reaching African American and Latino/Hispanic youth aged 1519. A communitywide model is an intervention implemented in defined communities (specified geographic area) applying a common approach with different strategies. Communitywide approaches will be tailored to the specified community, and will include broad-based strategies that reach a majority of youth in the community (e.g., through communication strategies and media campaigns); and intensive strategies reaching youth most in need of prevention programming (e.g., through implementation of evidence-based programs and improved links to services). Program goals are: 1. Reduce the rates of pregnancies and births to youth in the target areas. 2. Increase youth access to evidence-based and evidence-informed programs to prevent teen pregnancy. 3. Increase linkages between teen pregnancy prevention programs and community-based clinical services. 4. Educate stakeholders about relevant evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies to reduce teen pregnancy and data on needs and resources in target communities. To achieve these goals for FY 20112015, nine state- and community-based organizations, including two Title X agencies, and five national organizations were funded through the cooperative agreement, Teenage Pregnancy Prevention: Integrating Services, Programs, and Strategies Through Communitywide Initiatives. These awards were made through two competitive funding opportunity announcements (FOA): one through a joint FOA from OAH and CDC, and one from a joint Office of Population Affairs and CDC FOA.

Summary

The goal of this program is to reduce the reduce the rates of pregnancies and births to youth in the target areas, Increase youth access to evidence-based and evidence-informed programs to prevent teen pregnancy, Linkages between teen pregnancy prevention programs and community-based clinical services, Educate stakeholders about relevant evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies to reduce teen pregnancy and data on needs and resources in target communities.

Reaction
There is an possibility that the rates of teenage pregnancy will decrease if all this goals will achieve and it depends in the officials that will handle in this program. If this goals would achieved there is an possibility the rates of early pregnancy will decrease in the year of 2015 but if not the world will full of stressed people and disabled person.

What You May Be Feeling?

(Article 3)

If you have just learned that your teen is having a baby, you're probably experiencing a wide range of emotions, from shock and disappointment to grief and worry about the future. Some parents feel a sense of guilt, thinking that if only they'd done more to protect their child this wouldn't have happened. And although some parents are embarrassed by their teen's pregnancy and worried about how family, friends, and neighbors will react, others are happy about the news of a soon-tobe grandchild especially if the teen is older and in a mature relationship. Whatever feelings you're experiencing, this is likely to be a difficult time for your family. The important thing is that your teen needs you now more than ever. Being able to communicate with each other especially when emotions are running high is essential. Teens that carry a baby to term have special health concerns, and your daughter will have a healthier pregnancy emotionally and physically if she knows she doesn't have to go it alone. So what can you do as the parent of a teen having a baby? Recognize your feelings and work through them so that you can accept and support her. Does that mean you don't have the right to feel disappointed and even angry? No. Such reactions are common. You might have a strong flood of emotions to deal with, especially at first. But the reality of the upcoming baby means that you'll have to get beyond your initial feelings for the sake of your daughter and her child. If you need help coping with your feelings about the situation, talk to someone you trust or seek professional counseling. A neutral third party can be a great resource at a time like this.
