Membership Department: (LCCI)

Introduction:
Membership Department is one of the most important departments of LCCI. It is responsible for processing of new membership applications, renewals of membership, issuance of LCCI member cards, attestation of certificate of origin, attestation of commercial documents, issuance of visa recommendation letters, issuance of visa invitation letters and co-ordination in conducting annual election of LCCI.

Membership Eligibility:

The prospective member is a sole proprietorship or a partnership firm or an association of persons or a company holding national tax number and sales tax registration, if applicable, in the name of the business concern. The prospective members business fits within the defined business scope or area of jurisdiction of District Lahore as provided in the memorandum and articles of association of LCCI and under the licence granted by the Federal Government. The application for grant of membership shell be proposed and seconded by existing members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 4. The prospective member has no criminal conviction. The prospective member has a valid national tax number and sales tax registration, if applicable; Membership may be cancelled or disqualified, on the grounds provided under the memorandum and articles of association, and if the member breaches any provision of the Trade Organization Ordinance; The membership shall be renewable on annual basis subject to fulfillment of following conditions, Payment of prescribed subscription within the time stipulated in the memorandum and articles of association, which shall not be later than 31st March every year; Proof of filing income tax return and sales tax, if applicable, for latest preceding assessment year

Classes of Membership:
There shall be two classes of memberships in Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry:-

Corporate Class:
This class of membership shall be open to all Industrial and commercial undertakings either a body corporate or a multinational corporation with its head office or branch office in Pakistan or a sales tax registered manufacturing concern or a sales tax registered business concern having annual turnover of Rs. 50 million or above.

Associate Member:
This class of membership shall be open to all industrial and business undertakings which are not a body corporate or a multinational or a sales tax registered business concern having annual turnover of Rs. 50 million or above

Membership Procedure: Proprietorship:

Written application on firms letterhead addressed to secretary general LCCI for grant of membership Completely filled in membership form,duly proposed and seconded by two valid members whose representative should be different from each other and the applicant company Completely filled in Signature / Identity Card Photocopy of C.N.I.C of the proprietor Photocopy of National Tax Number (NTN) certificate of proprietor as a business individual Photocopy of Sales-Tax Registration number certificate (if applicable) Original bank certificate in the name of business title applied for membership.
