ArtiClean is the only ozone laundry company that tests all our systems with different bacteria in a laboratory

setting. This assures our customers that they are killing the latest bacterial threats. These are Good Laboratory Procedure tests. We continue to exceed the strict standards of sanitation in the Health Care, Hospitality, Correctional and First Responder markets. MRSA A hot water wash with detergent and chlorine bleach gave a 6.31 log kill rate on MRSA. An ArtiClean Ozone 100% cold ozonated wash with detergent and bleach gives a 7.31 log kill on MRSA. Another bubbletype ozone company is claiming a 4.7 log kill on MRSA. C. Difficile The laboratory tests on C. difficile with Firefighters Bunker Gear indicated the same kill rate for both hot water and ArtiClean Ozone with the same amount of detergent and bleach. It gave a 4.97 log kill on C. difficile spores. M. Terrae The tests indicate a log reduction of 5.4 or 99.9994 after a normal 100% cold ozonated wash cycle on linens. The normal hot water wash had a low of a 1.5 log kill or 97.2% VRE The 100% cold ozonated wash with detergent and bleach test had a 6.37 log kill or 99.99996%. The hot water wash with detergent and bleach was slightly less effective at a 6.27 log kill or 99.99995%.

Testing and Results of ArtiClean Systems

July,1994, University of Kentucky Department of Interior Design, Merchandising and Textile,

Textile Testing Laboratory, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY Load Composition of Heavy Soiled incontinence pads with visible fecal material laundered in both 140F traditional hot water wash and 100% cold ozonated wash at 0.93ppm dissolved ozone at 75F. Both cycles used same detergent, bleach amounts and wash times/cycles. RESULTS: Each wash cycle, hot and ozonated cold water, showed the same level of bacteria kill in the linens.

Test Summaries

March 2009, Nelson Laboratories, Salt Lake City, UT, Bioburden of M. terrae laundered at 70F
with 1.5 ppm of dissolved ozone fed to the washers with an ArtiClean AW 60 system. The ozone wash cycle was with 100% cold water. RESULTS: A 99.99941 reduction of M. terrae in the linens , or 5.5 log kill reduction.

September 2010, EMSL Analytical, Cinnaminson, NJ, Challenge bacteria, .MRSA and Clostridium
difficile (vegetative cells and spores), wash cycles at 155 F (Hot) and 75F (ozone). Same amount of detergent and chlorine bleach used for both, the same wash cycle used for both hot and ozone tests. 1.5ppm of dissolved ozone fed into washer, using an ArtiClean EconOzone ECO2-10. All the fills for the Ozone cycle were with 100% cold ozonated water RESULTS: A 99.99999% reduction in MRSA, a 99.98% reduction in C.difficile vegetative cells and a 99.983% reduction in C.difficile spores. Also the hot water cycles gave a 99.9999% reduction in MRSA, a 99.99% reduction in C.difficile vegetative cells and a 99.983% reduction in C.difficile spores. November 2011, EMSL Analytical, Cinnaminson, NJ. Challenge bacteria Vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE) wash cycles at 155 F (Hot) and 75F (ozone). Same amount of detergent and chlorine bleach used for both, the same wash cycle used for both hot and ozone tests. 1.5ppm of dissolved ozone fed into washer , using an ArtiClean EconOzone ECO2-10. All the fills for the Ozone cycle were with 100% cold ozonated water. RESULTS: A 99.99995% reduction in VRE using the 100% cold ozonated wash cycles and a 99.99995% reduction in VRE using the 155F wash cycles.
