FOR INSTRUCTIONS USINGHOTPOT:
1. Before using the first time, clean Hot Pot thoroughly (refer to instructions for Cleaning, Step 1). DO NOT IMMERSEHOT POT IN WATER. 2. The Hot Pot may be used for heating water, milk, hot chocolate, coffee, tea and bouillon, cereal, pudding, rice and frankfurters; and canned foods such as soup, stew, chowder, gravy, spaghetti and vegetables. When filling Hot Pot with liquid or food, use the (6-ounce) cup markings on outside to measure exact amount. (Do not heat less than 2 or more than 6 cups at one time.) 3. Place Hot Pot on a dry, level surface. Attach cord to base. Plug cord into 120 volt AC electrical outlet ONLY. Your Hot Pot has a short cord as a safety precaution. lf you must use a longer cord set or extension cord, be careful not to trip or become entangled with the cord. The electrical rating of the extension cord you use should be the same or more than the wattage of the Hot Pot. (Wattage is stamped on bottom of Hot Pot.) This also applies when using an automatic timing device. 4. Set thermostatic control at LO, Hl or at any point between, according to your temperature preference to and/or the temperature necessary heat a particu'

lar liquid or food. Set control at LO when heating milk-based liquids, cereal, pudding, stew, gravy and spaghetti. This will prevent boil-overs and burning, and therefore will eliminate chance of the heating unit corroding or becoming covered with hard"toclean-offsediment.

5. Press handle lever, place cover on Hot Pot, then re' lease lever to "lock" cover securely into place.

6. Creamy soups and solid foods must be stirred oc' casionallywhile heating. 7. When liquid or food reaches selected temperature, the electric unit will shut off automatically. lt will then remain at "serving" temperature as long as Hot Pot is connected to outlet. When approximately t/2 cup of liquid or food remains in Hot Pot disconnect cord from wall outlet. 8. When pouring liquids through spout, make certain cover is locked securely into place. Remove cover when serving solid foods. 9. Always remove plug from wall outlet before disconnecting cord from Hot Pot.
