DAILY LESSON PLANS

PRIMARY SCHOOLS

In PRIMARY SCHOOLS the Daily Lesson Plans written by English teachers can be in the following format : i Daily Lesson Plan based on theme/topics within the 3 worlds : World of Family and Friends, World of Knowledge and World of Stories. The format of writing the Daily Lesson Plan is as shown in the SAMPLE Daily Lesson Plans.

English Hour Daily Lesson Plan The format of writing this Daily Lesson Plan is as as introduced by the Curriculum Development Division, Ministry of Education (Bahagian Pembangunan Kurikulum, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia). This format of writing is shown in the sample Daily Lesson Plan iii. When teaching Contemporary Literature, the Daily Lesson Plan must also be written , please see sample ii.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS In SECONDARY SCHOOLS the Daily Lesson Plan should be written every day for both English Language teaching and for the Literature Component in the format as shown in the SAMPLE (s)

WHEN LESSONS ARE INTERRUPTED; I. EL Teachers who will be away lessons should be prepared as class work for each day and the Daily Lesson Plans for the days the EL teacher being away should be written (based on the classwork prepared). ALTERNATIVELY 2. EL Teachers who know they are going to be away in advance you can work out with fellow teachers in replacing the classes in advance and these teachers coming in when you are away. ALTERNATIVELY 3. EL teachers who are going to be away MUST REPLACE the periods (time) accordingly either within the school hours or outside school hours.

AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE EL TEACHER IS AWAY THE CLASSES MUST BE MADE UP, REPLACED ( and all stated in the record book for the classes concerned)
