INFINITY PRODUCT RANGE

Infinity Product Family Overview

Todays buildings demand sophisticated control technologies. Infinity addresses these demands in one fully integrated system that is flexible and incredibly easy to operate, yet powerful enough to substantially reduce energy consumption, increase staff productivity, eliminate duplicate hardware, and adapt to the unique comfort and security requirements of individual building tenants. From high performance network controllers to cost-effective application controllers, the Infinity family of distributed, programmable controllers is the complete direct digital control solution for HVAC, lighting, security, smoke management, and process control needs.

Infinity Features a High-Speed Multi-User Network

Although each individual Infinity controller operates on a stand-alone basis, they communicate and share data globally over a single, high-speed two-tier LAN network. Multiple users can access any Infinity controller simultaneously using a workstation, a lap-top computer, or a touch screen display anywhere on the network, or communicate remotely over standard telephone lines. And because each Infinity controller operates on a stand-alone basis, maximum reliability is built in to the system. Resident intelligence and battery backup in each individual controller assures continued system operation during network interruptions.

Infinity is Easy to Operate, Simple to Program

The Infinity system simplifies information management by making it easy for operators to use and understand. For example, with the Infinity SX 8000 workstation, an operator can tour a facility, adjusting setpoints, printing reports, tracking personnel, and transmitting information to other users or controllers on the network all with a click of the mouse on SX 8000s animated colour graphics and pop-up windows! Similarly, all Infinity controllers are programmed using Plain English programming language. Like its name implies, Plain English is simple to use even a computer novice can create sophisticated, customised control applications using powerful commands and expressions written in easy-to-comprehend English sentences.

Infinity Brings It All Together

From HVAC and lighting, to access control and CCTV, underground storage tanks to process control Infinity allows companies to integrate all of a buildings stand-alone systems, even from multiple vendors. Not only can third-party systems share information transparently, but also display it on any SX 8000 workstation. Infinity also expands integration to include direct tie-ins to a companys mini or mainframe computers, making data such as energy usage and building performance, maintenance records, critical alarm information, and time-and-attendance readily available to company personnel.
