Adoption reimbursement - Financial assistance after the adoption of an infant or child. Alternative work arrangements - Flexible work arrangements are available for many of our positions. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - A confidential, short-term counseling service free of charge for our employees and their dependents. Life Balance Program - A confidential resource, referral and consultation service that is free to our employees and their families. Accessible by telephone or Internet, Life Balance can help with child care or elder care services, adoption or pregnancy, schooling, organizational skills, parenting, consumer issues, retirement or other concerns. Elder Care Solutions - A free confidential service of professional advice and assistance in helping to address concerns and identify resources for elder family members. Just-In-Case Program - An emergency and backup elder, adult, and child care program. Lactation Program - Discounts on pumping supplies. Medela pumps and private rooms are available at various locations. Monthly work/life balance seminars - Informational seminars on how to manage and maximize time. Support groups - Peer-to-peer and nonprofessional meetings. Wellness-at-Work Programs - Weight Watchers meetings, health screenings, discounted gym memberships and more. Credit union, banking or ATMs at most sites Wage Works - A monthly contribution toward your train, bus or subway fare. Travel and entertainment discounts

Benefits: Work/Life Balance


Earned time Off (ETO)
Eligible employees begin to accrue leave immediately and are eligible to use this leave after successful completion of the 90-day introductory period. Accrual rates vary depending on employment status and increase with length of service.

Earned Sick Bank (ESB)


Eligible employees begin to accrue leave immediately, and are eligible to use this leave after 90 days of employment. This leave can be accessed for the employee's own personal illness or injury.

Holidays
Randolph Hospital recognizes the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Leave of Absence
Employees may be eligible for personal, military, or educational leaves of absence.

Family & Medical Leave


Upon completion of 12 months of service and 1,250 worked hours during the previous 12month period, employees may be eligible for up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Leave is available for the birth of a child, to care for a newborn, placement of an adopted or foster child and to care for an immediate family member with a serious health condition or your own serious health condition.

Flexible Work Arrangements

Flexibility in work scheduling helps accommodate important personal and family priorities for HCC employees. Options can include part-time employment, flexible service, and weekend-only programs, to name a few.
Child Development Center

The Hospital of Central Connecticut Child Development Center provides high quality child care for the children of employees and those affiliated with the hospital. Children ages eight weeks to five years are eligible for enrollment. The center has four programs to meet the developmental needs of children: Infants; Pre-toddlers; Toddlers; and Pre-school. The center is open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Employees save money on federal income taxes by contributing to the Dependent Care Account. They can use their contributions to pay for eligible expenses for child or adult care for eligible dependents.
On-site Fitness Center

The Cohen Good Life Center at the New Britain General campus makes staying fit easy and convenient. This progressive, well-equipped exercise facility is staffed by specialists who provide exercise evaluations, individualized fitness plans, and supervision.

Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness


Employees enjoy substantial savings on fitness memberships at Healthtrax centers. In addition, employees receive discounts on all Healthtrax programs including swim lessons, special classes, children's birthday parties, and more.

Health and Wellness Programs


Through our award-winning Health Promotion Program, HCC sponsors a number of programs and services to help you stay healthy. Examples include annual free health screenings, a variety of weight loss programs, smoking cessation, stress management, yoga, and exercise. Our WellRewards incentive program allows you to earn WellPoints for engaging in healthy behaviors, which can then be redeemed for catalogue gifts.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)


If employees need help looking for solutions to one or more of life's problems, Solutions EAP is available to assist them. The program provides free, confidential, short-term counseling and referral services for employees and family members. Counseling is available on-site or at a number of off site locations.

403(b) Retirement Savings Plan

Long-Term Care Insurance

The Hospital of Central Connecticut offers an excellent medical plan that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and prescription drug benefits and encourages a healthy lifestyle and preventive care.
Health Care Reimbursement Plan

To help save on federal taxes, this plan allows employees to have money deducted pre-tax from their paycheck and placed into an account. This plan reimburses health care expenses that are not fully reimbursed by insurance, such as dollars spent on glasses and contact lenses, orthodontia, and certain over-the-counter drugs, to name a few.
Dental Plan

The Hospital of Central Connecticut offers its employees the opportunity to purchase portable Long-Term Care Insurance from UnumProvident at a significant group discount, using payroll deduction as the means of payment.
Holidays/Vacation

The Hospital of Central Connecticut observes six named holidays and provides four additional holidays to be used at the employee's discretion. Additionally, vacation time for employees ranges from two to four weeks.
Tuition/Educational Assistance

Dental benefits are available through a traditional dental plan option. The plan gives employees the freedom to use any dental provider they wish. Preventive and diagnostic services are covered at 100%. The plan also covers basic and major restorative services with applicable deductible and co-payments.
Disability Coverage

Regular active full- and part-time employees are eligible for pre-paid tuition assistance of up to $3,000 each fiscal year. Selected degree programs are eligible for tuition assistance up to a total of $5,000 per year.

If an employee is unable to work due to illness or injury, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a short-term plan for full- and part-time employees to help them meet their financial responsibilities. This plan provides paid sick time, based on an employee's paid service time, up to 1,040 hours at their base rate of pay. In addition, The Hospital of Central

Connecticut offers hospital-paid long-term disability insurance coverage to full-time employees, providing a monthly benefit equal to 60% of your pay up to $2,000 or $5,000 per month. In some cases, additional long-term disability coverage equal to 60% of pay to $8,500 per month may be purchased.

The Helpful Hands Concierge program is an exciting service designed to enhance the patient, visitor, employee and physician experience by providing a wide range of services and amenities. Employees are encouraged to use the program by requesting their desired service from countless options ranging from hotel or dinner reservations to dry cleaning drop off and pick up. Using a fleet of local and national vendors, Helpful Hands can accommodate nearly any task, whether somebody needs a book of stamps or help with getting a stamp in the passport.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides hospital-paid term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage to full- and part-time employees. Additional life insurance is offered through a supplemental and portable plan and employees may also purchase a portable life insurance product for their spouse and term life insurance for their dependent child(ren).
