Proposal/Pitch King Henry viii is arguable the most infamous Monarch England has ever had. The conflicts and events surrounding the life and reign of King Henry viii has inspired many to create, write and compose books, poems and songs over the centuries. Even the famous William Shakespeare has dedicated and written poems about him. From books to television shows, the world cant seem to get enough of King Henry. People find themselves captivated and entertained by his story no matter what form it is presented in. There is no reason why a video game based on his life shouldnt be another means to enjoy this fascinating story. This proposed video game King Henry viiis Journey to Infamy will be based primarily on King Henry as the main character/player one. The player will walk in his shoes with the option of making decisions that follow the original courses he took in life or altering and changing his journey to see where these new paths take him. The video game will incorporate the pivotal points in his life for example all six of his marriages, children and religious conflicts. Having six wives he seemed to go through wives seasonally, beheading or divorcing them to marry the next one. Henry spent the majority of his reign trying to produce a male heir, this one pursuit lead to the break between the Catholic Church and England. Henry fathered Queen Mary I and Queen Elizabeth I historically Englands most hated and beloved queens. His daughter Mary known as Bloody Mary came by this name because of her religious policies
Marguerite 4/9/12 10:03 AM Comment [3]: I would talk more about King Henry himself, maybe talk about one marriage in particular Marguerite 4/9/12 10:13 AM Comment [2]: Id rephrase these two sentences. Maybe The conflicts and events surrounding the life and reign of King Henry viii have inspired many, including the great William Shakespeare, to write and dedicate songs, poems, books, and other creations in his memory. Weather it be written on paper or aired on a TV screen, the world cant seem to get enough. Marguerite 4/9/12 10:05 AM Comment [1]: Arguably

during her reign. She executed over three hundred people by burning them at the stake for either believing or actively practicing the Protestant faith. Her half-sister Queen Elizabeth I on the other hand brought peace to the country and reigned in a period where England had continued prosperity. The opening scene in the video game is of young Prince Henry being thought theology by one of his private tutors in his study. The purpose of this scene is to showcase Henrys main foundation and area of study to better understand why he seemed to constantly butt heads with the Catholic Church. From here on out the player is free to choose what paths to take throughout this journey. King Henry viiis Journey to Infamy will be graphic and gory in nature thus will receive a rating of M17+. Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.(ESRB 1.) This game is not intended to be purchased or played by children. The target audience is for those ages 17 and older, preferably college students and anyone else of said age interested in interactive historical games. Before the game is launched there will be a 50-city college tour where students are welcomed and given a chance play and review the game.
