Dear Instructor, The purpose of this letter is to give you a perspective, from one trainer to another, on how to use these materials in your delivery of a course on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Infrastructure. First, let me congratulate you. Teaching is tough work, and Microsofts Windows Server 2008 R2 Infrastructure is a genuinely vast subject to teach. The following materials have been assembled to assist your course delivery: The Book Eight chapters of solid, meaningful material, including chapter review questions and in-chapter exercises. PowerPoint Slides Enough to cover the content in each chapter (from 10-40 per chapter), highlighting major points found in the book. You may want to use these at the beginning of a days class to verify that the students understood what was covered during the previous session. Practical Examples/Labs Every chapter in the book contains several excellent examples to practically demonstrate the points made in the chapter. We have included some extra labs for your students to use for practice. Some of the labs do require the completion of certain exercises from the text, so you will want to be intimately familiar with the system changes introduced by each exercise in the book. As always, it is highly recommended that you run through the labs yourself before class to be familiar with their subtleties before the session begins. Prerequisites
Before beginning class, ensure that all your students are minimally familiar with the following computing technology: PC hardware fundamentals, basic computer networking fundamentals, and an ability to successfully use a graphical user interface to operate a computer. Lack of any of these will dramatically slow down absorption of material by that student, and will absolutely frustrate the advanced students who are attending your class.
