e.g. Education Officer, Principal, Minister of Religion or Justice
of the Peace.

progress report if attending University. Evidence of acceptance
at UWI or Utech.

CONDITIONS
1. Candidates should be:a) Jamaican citizens, domiciled in Jamaica during the last five (5)
years;
b) Not older than 25 years old on October 1st in the year of award;
2. Candidates will be required to enter into a bond to work in Jamaica for
a period not exceeding five (5) years.
3. The Scholarship award is valid for the academic year immediately
following the offer of the award and cannot be deferred for any reason.

Female 2012/2013
Applications are invited for one (1) Scholarship, to be offered by the Ministry of Education in
collaboration with the Issa Foundation, to a candidate pursuing undergraduate programmes in
Business or Tourism Management at the University of the West Indies or at the University of
Technology for the academic year 2012/2013.
Duration of Scholarship
Three (3) years maximum
Eligibility for Award
All applicants must:
1.

be a Jamaican National

2.

be not older than 25 years old as of October 1, 2012

3.

have resided in Jamaica for a period of at least five (5) years, immediately
preceding the year of the award.

4.

meet the matriculation requirements of the University of the West Indies or the
University of Technology.

The successful candidate will be bonded to work in Jamaica on completion of the course for a
