What is your Favorite Ice-cream Flavor and how Many Scoops Would You Normally Have?

I decided to do my personal project on ice-cream. For my personal project my research question was What is your favorite ice-cream flavor and how many scoops would you normally have?. I decided to choose ice-cream because I love to eat ice-cream but I only ever have one scoop. I was interested whether other students enjoy ice-cream as I do but I was more interested how many scoops others have. I decided that I would survey 8A to find the answers. 8a has 24 people, I wanted to do half of 8c as well but it would be confusing.

I decided to collect my data not by using an online survey because not many people do them. So I decided to go around 8A and tackle the survey myself. I found that the results were much more accurate than doing an online survey because with online surveys people just skip questions or they do not answer true fully. When I was doing my survey it was hard for me to know who I have asked and who I have not asked so I got a bit lost but I made sure that I had not doubled up on people. I think that when I was collecting my data it was not very successful because I could not remember which people in the class I had already surveyed. I think that I should have written down the names of the people I had surveyed so I could remember. After I had finished collecting my data I realized that I did not have as many results as I wanted, but I still went with the number of results I had because it would have taken a long time to interview/ survey a different class. Maybe next time I should think about doing a online survey if I wanted to get a lot of results. I also think that I should have asked more questions because I do not have that many results and it would be good to have more results to make more graphs and explain more about my project. With my calculations I think that I could have done some more to find out different things like percentages and things. That is why I mad e a pie chart to help me look at the percentages of each thing.

I think that it would have been good to have only used the pie chart because I think it helps me learn more about my results then the bar chart even though the bar chart has more numbers and I could probably just use both to get a better understanding.

I think that for my question I have answered it clearly. I now know that normally people eat only one scoop of ice-cream like me. I fi could do this project again I would change the amount of the questions I had because I did not get enough information. I would also change maybe my topic because when I was doing my survey people in my class were looking at me like I was crazy to do this topic. I think that they are the only two things I would change because I am happy with the way my survey went.
