Assessment a. History The professionals are of the ages 25-40 years old and having high standards of living. Some of them have different misconceptions and knowledge deficits about personal health because of their beliefs and practices, their culture and their environment. Fortunately, most of them are well educated about personal health care but the problem is how they apply/ practice these. Twenty of these professionals are already married. Ten of them are living independently with their new families while the others prefer to stay with their parents. The rest believes that their life will be much better if they are alone, so they chose to be independent. These professionals have varied learning styles but in general, they said that they are learning better through speech and writing and/ or images or pictures. b. Setting The 30th Personal Health Seminar with the theme Healthy Living towards a Healthy Profession will be conducted at HaMaDa KiDaZe Hotel, Km. 5, La Trinidad, Benguet. c. Population The audience will be composed of 30 professionals with different professions: eight company secretaries, seven engineers, five educators, four lawyers, three accountants, and three d. Educational Attainment These professionals are highly respected for their status and educational attainment. The eight company secretaries finished, the seven engineers also , three of the educators are having their doctorate degree while the rest are fresh graduates of Bachelor of Secondary Education, the four lawyers are ,the three accountants are also fresh graduates of BS Accountancy, and the last but not the least the three

Diagnosis

The 30 young professionals aging from 25-40 years old were diagnosed to have knowledge deficit on personal health care and maintenance. Each of them manifests different signs and symptoms of it on different aspects. III. Planning a. Objectives

Within the scheduled seminar, 95% of the professionals will be able to: 1. Name at least five personal health care techniques and maintenance. 2. Participate actively in discussions and activities. b. Materials and equipment Visual aids, cartolinas, flowers, ramps, tables, cloth, pins, thumbtacks, wires, newspapers, tapes, special papers, etc. c. Funding/ budget Unit/ quantity Cartolinas (9 pcs.) The activity will start at 8 oclock until at least 11 o clock in the morning of Friday, April 27, 2012. Included in here is the time for preparation, the activity proper, and after care. One hour and twenty minutes is allotted for the preparation, one hour and thirty minutes for the activity proper, and the rest is for the after care. e. Language to be used English and Filipino will be used during the activity. IV. Interventions a. Teaching strategies

Different strategies will be used in this activity. These include printed and AV materials, demonstrations, explanation and description (lecture), answering questions, group discussion, practice, and modeling. b. Discussion The topic is about personal health, which is appropriate for the professionals. Basic personal health care and stress management are the main points that will be emphasized in this activity. V. VI. Evaluation References
