The Council of Europe's final demographic report for 2005, (published June 2006 ) was its last. The CoE reports and their
comprehensive demographic data were excellent. The data showed clearly what is wrong with Europes ethos and showed a dying
continent. CoE decided to jettison demographic statistics and stick to promoting the politically correct human rights it pursues,
some of which aggravate Europes problems. An abortion rate over 100% of live-births means more abortions than births. To
replace CoE abortion data, the figures below are reinforced and updated from William Robert Johnstons painstaking research.
Johnson is assistant professor of surgery at Minnesota Medical School and studies world data on abortion. The last update of the
website was 11th November 2011.

* The Figures for Austria are only for abortions in public hospitals.
** The figures for Ireland are those taking place in England and Wales.

Johnstons Abortion Statistics and Other Data: http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/policy/abortion/index.html
In general all abortions figures may understate and should be accepted cautiously.
Abortion figures from socialized countries like the UK, the Nordic countries and most of Europe can be assumed to
be fairly accurate. In other countries that is not the case. The total figure for the United States is very much an
estimate as some states do not report to the CDC. China and Indias abortion situation can only be estimated.
