Introduction: Society for Special Persons is a civil Society working for the rights of vulnerable part of community and for the empowerment of women, children and especially the persons with disabilities. Pakistan is one of the countries where the disease of polio effects the lives of many people every year and its ratio is high as compared to other countries, although the vaccination process is continue from last two decades but still the virus exists due to the lack of awareness among community as the believe in stereotypes. Some Parents and families still have misconceptions about the vaccine and they fear to feed their infants polio vaccine which causes the reduction of immunity in children against polio and at some stage of life it attacks and paralyses their whole life. Proceedings: Society for Special Persons conducted a walk of wheelchair users against polio in Multan at Old Bahawalpur road from Society for Special Persons Office to High court chowk. The purpose of walk was to create awareness among community to eradicate the polio; the slogan of walk was Hmara Khawb Polio Free Pakistan in this walk Dr. Fazal ur Rehman (EDO Health) and Dr. Munawar Abbas (DO Health) Dr.Shahid Magsi (D.O.H), Syed Ajaz Shah (Chairman BODs Society for Special Persons) and PWDs and community members participated. At the end of Walk Dr. Fazal ur Rehman (EDO Health) in his interview to media he said that Society for Special Persons is doing great work for the rights of Persons with Disabilities and government is fighting against the polio with the help of civil societies, media and local community. Health department has ascertain different teams to feed polio drops to children and these teams are going home to home and make camps at public places. Zahida Hameed President Society for Special Persons said in her interview to media that polio free Pakistan is our dream and parents should support the polio teams to prevent their children from polio. Syed Ajaz Shah Said that if we continue our struggle against polio with same spirit that time is not far when the whole country will free from polio and no child will suffering from it.
