Andover Continuum CyberStation 1.73 and web.Client 1.73

Product Description
Andover Continuum 1.73 is a new version set for the CyberStation and web.Client products. Targeted at enhancements for BACnet functionality, web.Client connectivity and support for new controller firmware, Andover Continuum software, rev 1.73, has a lot to offer. As a BACnet Operator Workstation (B-OWS) CyberStation now supports more BACnet object types and services than ever. With the incorporation of BACnets powerful interoperability features, integration of Andover Continuum and third-party BACnet devices is very easy. The web.Client, reports, Plain English and controller support additions to CyberStation will benefit Infinet and BACnet sites alike making this the most capable Andover Continuum version to date.

Improved BACnet Device Management

CyberStation 1.73 now gives you control over the probing of BACnet device status with settings for probe, probe on demand and probe off for BACnet devices. When a BACnet device is found to be offline, an intrinsic alarm is generated.

Efficient Data Retrieval for BACnet Graphics

Pinpoint graphics can now take advantage of BACnet devices which support the BACnet ReadPropertyMultiple and/or COV services. These services can be used to retrieve multiple values at a time from a single controller or subscribe to a controller for updates upon a change of value. These efficiencies will speed up the dynamic updates of Pinpoint graphics.

Support for ASHRAE 135-2004

The latest version of the ASHRAE BACnet standard (135-2004) introduced changes to BACnet schedules. CyberStation 1.73 supports the new required properties and formats its messages in accordance to the latest changes to the BACnet standard.

BACnet Schedule Purge Option

In order to conserve controller memory for schedules with a large number of exception events, CyberStation 1.73 allows the past exception events to be automatically purged from the schedule object. As a result, downloads to the controller will only contain current and future exception events, thereby freeing valuable controller memory for other applications.

BACnet Trend Object Support

The BACnet Trend object introduces a new type of trending for CyberStation, change of value (COV) trending, while increasing its interoperability with other BACnet systems. Along with COV trending, the Andover Continuum BACnet trend object supports trending using polling increments and extended logging as with Infinity trends.

BACnet Loop Object Support

The BACnet Loop object is an object that contains a built-in PID loop function. With the new loop object, not only can you save controller memory by using this internal function, you get a powerful loop tuning editor with interoperable BACnet properties. The tuning tab of this editor lets you witness real-time responses of the system while you set the PID values. This unique tool provides a quick visual method for tuning those often difficult loops.

BACnet Backup & Restore

CyberStation 1.73 supports BACnet Backup & Restore services with an archiving system. The BACnet backup & restore functions allow the complete application code of a BACnet controller (which may be a third-party device) to be backed-up and restored at a later date. The Andover Continuum archival system lets the BACnet backup files to be stored in the SQL database or within the file system of a storage device. The backup can later be retrieved by searching by date and selecting the file for restoration. The SQL database can hold one backup file per device, while multiple versions of each device may be stored on the storage device such as a hard drive. Protect BACnet application code for all manufacturers that support BACnet backup & restore.

Andover Continuum BACnet Save from Controller

The Save from Controller feature that has been praised for many years for use with Infinity controllers is now available for Andover Continuum BACnet controllers. With the release of the BACnet Service Tool for the RoamIO2, it becomes necessary for CyberStation to have the ability to synchronize an Andover Continuum BACnet controllers configuration data with CyberStation. The Save from Controller function adds changes and objects added by the service tool to the CyberStation database. An integrator may also use this function to pre-program BACnet devices and save them to the sites CyberStation at a later date. Commission the site first with RoamIO2 and then preserve the changes into CyberStation.

Support for Listviews in Reports

The graphical Reports introduced in 1.7 now support Listviews as a data source. When listviews are used as the source, the filter criteria and column configuration of that listview are used to by the report. Reports enhance Listviews, providing a simple method for a list to be scheduled and delivered to a file location or email recipient list.

web.Client 1.73 Simplified Web Access

Access to web.Client just got easier with version 1.73. This is achieved by the final migration of web.Clients remaining applications to .NET and the firewall friendly connection of Pinpoint to its graphics files. Since Java is no longer used by web.Client, the Java runtime engine is no longer downloaded to the client, making first time connection faster. The enhancement to Pinpoints connection now permits the viewing of graphics files by clients on either side of a firewall. Access web.Client locally or through firewalls to the Internet.

web.Client 1.73 Trend and Loop object support

web.Client benefits from the support of the new BACnet Loop and Trend objects in CyberStation, which are fully accessible from within web.Client using the same editor look and feel as in the fixed workstation. Manage your whole BACnet system via web.Client.

web.Client 1.73 Default Log On Object

A new field in the User object has been added that can store the path of a specific object that will be opened when the user logs on to web.Client. Automatically launch your favorite graphic, schedule, trend, or report when you log onto web.Client.

web.Client 1.73 Launch object editors from a Listview

You can now launch an object editor directly from an opened Listview. Launching editors from Listviews makes it convenient to navigate through your system.

Support for the Infinet bCX1 (9640 version 1.1)

The latest version of the Infinet bCX1, the 9640 version 1.1, allows for the use of XDrivers and a new Plain English keyword for sending email. CyberStation 1.73 recognizes these new bCX1 features allowing XDriver points to be configured and PE programs to be edited with the SendEmail keyword.

Support for the BACnet bCX1 (40x0 version 4.4)

As with the new Infinet bCX1, the BACnet bCX1 version 4.4 also supports the new Plain English keyword for sending email.
