Brain is the most magnificent organ in the body.

At one time it is believed that people used 10% of their brains capacity. Moreover, scientist believed that Einstein may have been the only human that to ever approach that high of percent. The rest of us use 2-3% of our brain. So if we use on 2-3 % of the brain, the other 98-97% of the brain is used for what? It is still an unanswered question. But one things for sure which is there are plenty space in the brain for us to expand it to make us become more creative thinking. So it is not too late to wake up the creative genius inside and turns more of your brain power for your advantage. The creative thought process is based up the idea that your brain has the ability to create an infinite numbers of ideas, combination, and relationship. Mike Vance, Disney Corporation states that creativity is the making of the new and arrangement of the old. Creativity also can be defined as the production of new and useful ideas as well as the ability to discover new ways of looking at problems and opportunities. Creativity is a skill that can be learned and honed. Creativity skill can be developed, and this technique can be taught and an individuals creativity can be enhanced with practise. Nowadays creativity is being demanded of managers. A manager should do more than just develop a new product or improve efficiency. They also must creative in how they get people to work together in teams and how to handle the human issues in organisation. Besides, they also must create a climate where creativity and risk taking are stimulated and rewarded and mistake is viewed as part of life. A creative person must think out of the box and do not afraid making mistakes. There are three important components that build creativity. 1. Expertise - also known as knowledge, technical, or intellectual. This is gained through study or experience. A person will have a confident to understanding a subject and able to apply and use it if applicable. 2. Motivation- there is two types of motivation which is intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation happen when a persons internal desires to do something. The satisfaction is derived from overcoming the challenge. While for extrinsic motivation is comes from the outside a person or in other word which is influenced by other people.

3. Creative thinking skill-determine how flexible and imaginatively people approach problems. There are four styles of creating intelligence which is innovative, intuitive, imaginative and inspirational. There are tools that used for creating new ideas which are attribute listing, brainstorming and visioning. 1. Attribute listing is use when you have a situation that can be decomposed into attributes. It is highly rational style and suitable for people who prefer analytic approaches, also well for engineering-type situation. For the object or thing in question, list as many attribute as can or by breaking the object down first into constituent parts and look at the attributes of each part in question. Then for each attribute, ask what does this give and seek the real value of each attribute. Finally looks for ways to modify the attribute in some ways. All things have attributed which are sometimes overlooked. By deliberately focusing on these, we can find new ways to be more creative. 2. Brainstorming is the best tool to become more creative. It is usually used in a group or using independent facilitator who manages the process. There are 4 rules in brainstorming which is freewheel, combine and improve, quantity over quality and no criticism or debate. Brainstorming works when people use each others ideas to trigger their own thinking. But dont misunderstand. It is not we steal other people idea but it is as an inspiration that created by others peoples idea for us to use. Besides our mind is highly associative, and one thought easily triggers another. Sometimes we need to use the thoughts of others to generate ideas so that we will not getting trapped by our small thinking structure. 3. Vision is a motivating view of future. It creates pull and gives direction. Vision is easy by think about what you are trying to achieve. Just imagine brilliant and innovative future. Then go out into the future, look around and see what is there. Use dynamic and emotive word to paint the motivating picture. Furthermore use is rather than will. But remember by just imagine without any effort or works done to fulfil it, this will be useless like angan-angan mat jenin. Visioning works because we are an imaginative species and are motivated by what we perceive as a possible or desired future.

Do you know that there are myths about creativity? Believe it or not, yes there are! 1. The smarter you are the more creative you are- this is totally wrong. Whether you are smart or not, it all depends on you. Everyone in this world is creative but sometimes the person itself does not know or do not show the creativity unless they are being push by others. 2. The young are more creative than the old- sometimes the elder are more creative because they are more experience than the young. But young are creative may b due to fresh idea that generates by them. 3. Creativity is a solitary act- nowadays creation is no longer to be conceived as the solitary act but as social act. Being creative is not enough. Some believes that being creative is a must in order to create innovative things. While the others say that without innovative thinking there is no creativity. But for me, when we are creative, it is not impossible for us to create innovative things. These two words are used interchangeably in business world and relate to each other. So what is mean by the word innovation? According to wordiQ.com, innovation is the introduction of the new ideas, good, services and practices which are intended to be useful. The good example of innovation is Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple and his company. Steve Jobs is creative because he has the forward thinking ability to imagine new ideas for products, and also to see new connection between different things such as combining the itunes stores, camera, GPS, ipod, internet browser and a cell phone to create Iphone. The company of Apple is innovative in the manner in which they interpret and execute those forward-thinking ideas to create inspired, highly desirable products of value. Besides, the company's innovation-driven culture continuously strives to elevate the aesthetics, functionality and simplicity of their product design to museum quality levels. Innovation entrepreneurship will search for the market instead in the market, will create something from new product to new market development, from customer to total human development and will shift in customer research approach which is from market research to design research. As the conclusion, an excellent entrepreneurship always want to be creative by thinking outside of box, innovation in making or improves products, looks and grabs opputunities. Last but not least, when creativity is liberated, innovation flows.
