Acharei Mot & Kedoshim

For the second week in a row, we are once again given a double Torah portion! It would seem that there is an emphasis being placed on the fact that we are in the days that we are in need of gathering twice as much in preparation for the coming famine. This weeks portions are Acharei Mot, After the Death covering Leviticus 16:1-18:30 & Kedoshim, Holy Ones covering Leviticus 19:1-20:27. The first portion starts off with the instructions concerning Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and leads us directly into various commandments that teach us exactly how to be holy ones. Leviticus 16:1-2 *This whole portion is based/birthed out of the incident with Nadab & Abihu, so with this reminder strategically placed here, it causes us to go back and before we start take another look and refresh our memory of them. They are killed when they bring strange fire fire being synonymous with light/Word/Seed into the house and this is somehow (it seems) the direct opposite of Yahwehs atonement that is available. Nadab: Strongs #5070 generous; from #5068 nadab to incite, impel, make willing; 2 letter root of his name is same 2 letter root as niddah and as Nod wandering added to this is the letter house = one who would incite and impel the house to become niddah and to wander aimlessly! Abihu: Strongs #30 Abiyhuw he is my father; gematria = 25, same as to be besmeared, to spread over, coat *Their goal was to make the house/bride niddah before meeting with their groom, and by doing so it would remove what they had been besmeared with, covered with/coated with. Hence the reason this leads us directly into the rules regarding Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement/the Day of Covering! There are 2 things that we are specifically told must be done on this day in order that we die not (unlike Nadab & Abihu)! 1) Leviticus 16:2 At all times: Strongs #6256 eth time; gematria = 470, same as arar to make oneself naked, bare (the absence of a covering), carries with it a sense of destruction Veil: Strongs #6532 poreketh curtain, veil; gematria = 700, the same value as the Nun Sofit representing Word/Seed The Word is not to be made bare/naked and therefore susceptible to destruction! 2) Leviticus 16:13 revealing to us that there are 2 coverings in connection with Yom Kippur, the blood covering and the cloud of incense! Blood is

shed when the Seed (synonymous with Word) first enters the womb. Nadab & Abihu offered incense, yet there was no blood for atonement so they were seen as bare/naked/uncovered and one that would bring destruction to the Word yet it was not allowed to enter, to pass the barrier no blood shed! Atonement: #3722 kaphar to cover, purge, make atonement, make reconciliation; notice the 2 letter root = bull & prefix = like/as; like the bull? But the focus of the atonement sacrifice was the 2 goats. = mouth, language, speech & = head, master This is dealing with reconciling our mouths to speak like our Master! Hosea 14:2 Take with you words and turn to Yahweh: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves (par ) of our lips. *They brought strange fire/strange Word perverted the mouth/language of the Bride, its this strange word/seed/fire that cannot got beyond the barrier of the veil! Cloud: Strongs #6051 anan cloud, cloudy, cloud mass = to see, perceive, understand & = the name of the letter representing seed/Word therefore language as well! Nadab & Abihu attempted to uncover (to see & perceive) the Word/language of Yahweh in order to mix and mingle it with their strange fire/strange Word! Gematria of Kaphar = 300, same value as the letter fire, they chose the strange fire instead of the kaphar/covering; its also the same value as Nimrod the same individual responsible as well for attempting to usurp/uncover the language of Yahweh at Babel! Its also the same value as hagowral leYahweh the lot of Yahweh referencing the goat that would be killed in order to receive the blood needed to cover and purge, reestablishing the barrier that protects the Bride from the strange fire/seed/word, and a shadow picture of Yahshua, the Word restored! (The one willing to shed blood for the Word/Seed to be transferred). After: Strongs #310 achar after the following part, behind (of place), hinder, afterwards (of time); from #309 achar to delay, hesitate, tarry, defer, remain behind; 1st reference of this root is in Genesis 24 dealing with Rebekah being chosen as the wife of Isaac and those that would attempt to detain her much like Nadab & Abihu. Cognate word is #312 acher another, other, following; used in connection with Isaac! Genesis 17:12 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next (acher) year. 2 letter root 208 = ,same value as the name Isaac It would seem that there are several links to the lives of Rebekah and Isaac,

which are a shadow picture of the Bride and Messiah; by looking into the life of Rebekah we have revealed to us how we can be one who is able to receive atonement (whose mouths speak like Yahweh) instead of being one like Nadab & Abihu who die in an attempt to access His Word! Genesis 24:15-16 Rebekah: Strongs #7259 Ribqah ensnarer; the roots of this name denote a tying up of cattle, both for their own protection, the establishment of their home, and to keep them from wandering off *Notice the connection to cattle/par which is also connected to our mouth/language! She is one who has maintained control of her tongue for her own protection, for the establishment of her home, and it keeps her from being found niddah/wandering aimlessly! Shoulder: Strongs #7926 shekem shoulder, back *Kad/Chad Shekem! Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Yahweh, to serve him with one (echad) consent (shekem). Rebekah is seen as a fit bridal candidate, a proper helpmeet for Isaac (Messiah) because she guarded her mouth/words and therefore is one who becomes reconnected with the Hebrew language! She has a proper covering! There were 2 individuals as well that attempted to stop her/prohibit her from having the language restored to her, her brother & mother! Mother: Strongs #517 em mother, point of departure or division Laban: #3837 Laban white, a term used to describe leprosy, result of an evil tongue. In the midst of a house infected with leprosy/dead seed and the evil tongue, there is a remnant whom has the language restored, and once again its the language this is this line of division, a point of departure! When brought before Isaac, she covers herself as well, continuing the pattern that we are not to approach bare/uncovered! Genesis 24:65 For she [had] said unto the servant, What man [is] this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant [had] said, It [is] my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. Vail: Strongs #6809 tsaiyph wrapper, shawl, veil; from an unused root meaning to wrap over; 3 letter root = with a gematria of 170 (same value as anan cloud to see/perceive/understand the Word/Seed) + = mouth, word Her mouth/words were covered and therefore the Word was revealed to her!

 The name of this 1st portion, Acharei Mot/After the death = 665, same value as #5643 citrah covering, shelter, hiding place, secrecy, protection; used to describe being hidden in the secret of His tabernacle (Psalm 27:5), in the secret of thy presence (Psalm 31:20); from #5641 cathar to hide, conceal; 1st reference is Geneis 4:14 referring to Cain and from thy face shall I be hid (cathar). *Once again emphasizing that by covering/protecting the words of our mouth we gain access to the Secret of His Tabernacle, but the failure to do so causes us to be one that the same knowledge/Word is hid from and one who wanders!

Now lets take a look at the portion that ties in with Acharei Mot, the portion Kedoshim! Leviticus 19:1-2 Holy: Strongs #6918 kadowsh sacred, holy, set apart; from #6942 qadash to consecrate, sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be holy, separate Kedoshim = 454, same value as #2368 chowtham seal, signet, signet ring; from #2856 chatham to seal, seal up, affix a seal; same term is used in Daniel 12:4 shut up the words, and seal/chatham the book, even to the time of the end Book: Strongs #5612 cepher book, missive, document, writing = to surround, fence off, a hedge & = fruit of the lips The language would be sealed up, yet were given a hint to who it would be revealed to in the end those that guarded/surrounded/fenced off their words, the fruit of their lips! *This word is also used in Song of Songs 4:12 A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed (chatham). Fountain: Strongs #4599 mayan spring; gematria = 170, same as anan cloud (the Word/seed/language revealed!) The bride is synonymous with the language of Yah that has been sealed and shut up it is revealed to her, the one who speaks this is my sister, my spouse! 454 is also the value of #1886 Dothan 2 wells, in Genesis 37 Jacobs sons were supposed to be guarding the flocks at Shechem yet had made their way to Dothan. Shechem is spelled with the same letters as meshek ) #4901) a bag or container for seed used by a sower; noun referring to a trail of seeds, or the path left from sowing seeds Shechem is the house of the language, its here that you can be sown with the Seed, its here that the Word 4

is revealed! *Its also because of an incident with Shechem that Simeon and Levi lose their birthright; Simeon hearing & Levi My heart My heart lost their hearing when they mishandled the Word! = door = Covenant/Seal = Seed/Word They leave the place where the Word/Seed can be accessed becoming a wanderer for having not guarded our mouths, and instead are faced with the possibility to attempt and access the door to this sealed up Word via another way a way that will lead to destruction! = law, edict, decree & suffix = to diminish; by doing this the Law of Yahweh is diminished, the absence of the language is the absence of holiness, the failure to guard our mouths diminishes the Torah! *Hence the reason we were in need of one who could bring us back, who could once again restore our covering, one who could show us the way to be holy as He is holy! The value of the entire verse of Leviticus 19:2, the command for us to be holy as He is holy = 3,595; same value as Jeremiah 9:8 Their tongue [is as] an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: [one] speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait. We cant be holy as He is holy if our tongue is not guarded! Its no accident that these portions are the 29th and 30th portions of the year. 29 the combination of 20 = expectation & 9 = judgment, the expectation of judgment. 30 = the number of the pieces of silver Yahshua is betrayed for in order to become hagowral leYahweh, the Lot of Yahweh. 29 + 30 = 59, value of niddah unclean, impure, separated, removed Through these portions we learn of a covering necessary to approach Yahweh that we die not and that His Word/Seed be protected from destruction. Because of our failure to guard our words, we found ourselves in a niddah condition, expecting judgment, but there was one willing to bring atonement, to become the covering that we die not! If we will guard our mouths, then well be brought out of our leprosy, out of the house of Laban, and have restored to us the sealed up language!!
