General Product Characteristics

Product is used as a Microphone for voice signal encryption and decryption. Microphone is used together with military radio (PRC VRC Series). The product is developed especially for preventing any third party being able to eavesdrop the voice signal and understand the conversation. The usage is easy and the system is equipped with complex encryption code. Each microphone is able to select secret code for two parties (or multiple parties Group Radio) involved in conversation. The encryption mechanism used by microphone can be changed and altered by interface applied in the modern software tools.

Description
Cryptic's AM33-CVS series of tactical high-security rolling code voice scramblers offers protection against even determined listeners. By using true frequency hopping rather than frequency sweeping, Cryptic's AM33-CVS offers higher security than competitive rolling code voice scramblers. While competitive rolling code scramblers claim up to 1,000 hops per second, each of these hops are only a cycle or two in length. Cryptic's AM33-CVS hops 1 to 5 times per second in standard mode and 6 to 12 times per second in advanced mode. Each hop is several hundred cycles in length. The AM33-CVS Series also offer features such as Over-TheAir-Reprogramming (OTAR) of the primary security code, Deadbeat Disable, selective calling, spy, ANI, and Emergency ANI using Midian's Kryptic signaling format.

Applications
The AM33-CVS MICROPHONE is ideal for government (i.e. military) and public safety users who are using manpack radios. Radio Disable Function Provides the ability to disable radios that have been lost or stolen. A disabled radio will be unable to receive or transmit any messages, thus eliminating any advantage an undesired listener would gain from stealing a radio. Automatic Receive Operation Allows for the automatic detection of both clear and coded incoming signals. This feature prevents the inconvenience of manually switching a radio between clear and coded communication modes.

Installation
Cryptic's AM33-CVS MICROPHONE is available for most manpack radios such as the PRC-77. Different connector configurations are also available for other manpack radios. The AM33-CVS MICROPHONE does not require any modifications to the repeater and have no effect on the range of the radio. Cryptic's voice scramblers are well known in the industry as offering the best audio quality and speaker recognition.

Specific Product Characteristics

1. Encryption mechanism uses Analog Inversion Voice with Split point together with determining (Hopping) Split point through Pseudo Random 2. Able to set the frequency of changing hopping Split Point from 6 to 12 time within 1 second in order to make eavesdropping as much difficult as possible and additionally applying increased complexity in Scramble in order to meet high quality standards and clarity of the voice signal received by the microphone.

3. There is a Code Key which is determined by the ID number of each product in size of 32 Bit (4 digits) and can be changed in a convenient way. Also possible to change working mode to operate in Group Radio mode communicating on the same radio frequency and reaching up to 9999 groups. 4. When operating in Clear working mode to communicate with second party without Voice Scrambler microphone, the radio station is able to switch to the Scramble Mode fully automatically whenever there is a signal coming from the party with microphone and the same Code Key group (Auto Scramble) 5. When operating in Scramble Mode if the second party is communicating without Voice Scrambler microphone, it is possible to change to Clear Mode in order to understand the conversation (Auto Clear) 6. Changing the operating mode between Scramble and Clear is done by switching ON/OFF together with holding the pressed PTT-SW button. 7. Base station radio which communicates using Voice Scrambler microphone is able to listen to the conversion of the participants using the same radio frequency for every code key group and if base station radio is connected to the computer, the system enables recording the conversation of the participants immediately with Cryptic Log Book program. 8. Base station radio with Voice Scramble microphone is able to choose to communicate with the participants either per individual group or including all the groups together 9. Microphone Voice Scrambler is able to check the serial number card which is used ON-AIR through checking it via base station radio connected to the computer. 10. Able to work ON-AIR reject Voice Scramble microphone, so that the function in disabled when the card is lost or is used by the other team. 11. Able to upload new firmware for the users in order to change the code table in a convenient way in case the product is lost or stolen by the other team 12.
