MECHANICS

A race briefing will take place on the day of the race at the open fields of Barangay Scout Barrio, Baguio City. The race will start at exactly 630 a.m. The run shall cover Shalan ni Kabajo, Yellow trail, and the periphery of the U.S. Ambassadors residence. Trail route will be announced 2 days before the race. Visit http://www.facebook.com/upbaguiomountaineers for more details. Water and first aid stations shall be set up at various points in the route. Participants should strictly follow the designated route, shortcuts are strictly prohibited. In case of a tie, the winners shall split the prize money This is a rain or shine event. However, in case of extremely bad weather the organizers reserve the right to delay or cancel the activity. Members of the Philippine Distant Running Team will not be allowed to compete in the race. Participants must be in sound physical condition. It is the participants responsibility to inform the organizers of any illness/es s/he may have before the race. Only 80 runners shall be allowed to participate in the race for each category. (6km and 12km) Registration fee is at Php 250 for the 6-km division and Php 300 per head for the 12-km division. Includes free pan de sal, coffee, signature shirt designed by legendary artist Bob Acosta, and raffle goodies. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

IN CONSIDERATION for being permitted to participate in the Run for Trails 2012 of the U.P. Baguio Mountaineers THE UNDERSIGNED PARTICIPANTS: 1. HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE The U.P. Baguio Mountaineers, Camp John Hay along with any other sponsors and all of its holdings, and owners and lessees of premises used to conduct the event and each of them, their officers and employees, for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the releases or otherwise while the undersigned is participating in the event; 2. HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the U.P. Baguio Mountaineers and Camp John Hay from any loss, liability, damage, or cost (including attorneys fees) they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned participating in the event and whether caused by the negligence of the U.P. Baguio Mountaineers or Camp John Hay or otherwise. 3. HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of U.P. Baguio Mountaineers or Camp John Hay or otherwise while participating in the event. EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED expressly acknowledges and agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
