How to Configure Putty:


1. Open the below link
http://10.249.2.12:81/clearcase/spot_dev_infrastructure/Documents/Architecture/Rat ionalisedPuttySessions/

2. Search for file SPOT-IBM-PROXIES.reg.removethissuffix


3. Right click on the above link and click on Save target as and save the file in local machine. 4. Rename that file as SPOT-IBM-PROXIES.reg 5. Run SPOT-IBM-PROXIES.reg File. Accept all messages.

6. Search for proxy.pac in the clearcase path mentioned above, double click on it and Save. 7. Open Internet Explorer Tools Internet options
Click on Connections Tab LAN settings Copy file://C:/proxy.txt and paste as in the screen below [Note: Proxy.txt and Proxy.pac are same]

Click OKOK 8. Host file entry: Search for hosts_additions.txt in the clearcase path mentioned above and double click on it and copy the data inside it. Open hosts file from C: \windows\system32\drivers\etc path in local machine and add the copied data in this hosts file.

9. Now You should be able to open SPOT Wiki page i.e. http://10.249.2.4:85/

Data Base Connectivity:


1. Download sqldeveloper.exe from
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/sql/index.html Accept T&C, Select Oracle SQL Developer for Windows (JDK1.5.0_06 is bundled in this zip) (77 M) Unzip the file and Run.

2. Open the below link

3. Search for IDEConnections.xml.IBM_removethissuffix right click on it and click on save


target as to save the xml file 4. Open Oracle SQL developer. In Connections Tab, right click on Connections Node , click on Import connections as below

Browse the filename picnic database connections.xml that you have saved in your local machine and click on OK. All database connections should be ready for use in SKY network. In order to access these connections from IBM network we need to change the Hostname as local host in the properties of respective databases.

If we want to use E50, E52 or E53 database connections we need to load SPOT-IBMTESTDEV-PROXY-DB-E5x session in putty. If we want to use E60 or E62 database connections we need to load SPOT-IBM-TESTDEVPROXY-DB-E6x session in putty. Database Query:

How to check the application log:


1) Log in with username and password in SPOT-IBM-TESTDEV-PROXY 2) cd /apps/was/ws6/inst03/profiles/e53crm_cell/e53crm_warwst01/logs/sitccs_chordappe53_01/ tail -f SystemOut.log To exit from log press Ctrl+c

How to connect to the Shared machine:


StartAll Programs Remote desktop connections Credentials for Shared machine: Windows password: passw1rd RDC Password : Sunday01 IP: 80.238.30.119 User ID: kothaway Password: Sunday01 Domain: BskyB

How to connect TCAS


Load the TCAS Connection through Putty:

Login to 10.5.4.30 with username: amq05 and password: welcome1 Type natwarp and press enter:

In the next screen type: 039 to connect to E53 instance of TCAS 165 to connect to E52 instance of TCAS 127 to connect to E50 instance of TCAS Press enter twice In direct command type cabr1 and press enter

Now, in card id field enter viewing card number and press enter

It should highlight the viewing card with status A if the card gets activated (If not then S) as below:

Press enter again on the highlighted card and it should show the service address as below:

Press F2 key to move backwards To view the subscription entitlements command is CAMSN

Type Action B, card subscriber id, cms id and press enter. It should show the card entitlements. Following query in chordiant database should extract card subscriber id:

Select ba.accountnumber, si.packrequestnumber, si.cardsubscriberid from skyowner.bsbbillingaccount ba, skyowner.bsbserviceinstance si where ba.accountnumber = xxxxxxxxxxxx and ba.serviceinstance = si.parentserviceinstanceid CMS-ID= 00001 for picnic
