ACT 1 INT. INTERNET EXPLORER FACEBOOK LOGIN - NIGHT The camera opens to an empty internet browser screen; the screen comes to life when someone types in the address bar. ADDRESS BAR TEXT www.facebook.com When the website loads the person enters their personal details and clicks login. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER FACEBOOK PUBLIC WALL - NIGHT The persons public wall opens with a whole host of updates from various people, the person scrolls down the page and stumbles onto a post that interests them. FRIENDS POST TEXT Check out this site on aging theres nothing quite like it The Telomere Theory of Aging hosted at www.agebook.com. The person clicks the link which takes them to the agebook site. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER AGEBOOK MAIN WEBSITE NIGHT When arriving on the site the person scrolls down and clicks the drop box proclaiming immortality. IMMORTALITY BOX TEXT The theory of immortality is largely based on the telomere theory of aging, it is believed that as our cells replicate they breakdown and dont regenerate as strong, our strands of DNA have protective tips called telomeres which get damaged as our cells replicate. It is believed that if we can stop these tips from degrading that we can live forever. An enzyme known as telomerase is said

to protect these protective tips of our DNA from breaking down as they replicate, however telomerase has been linked to cancer causing our cells to become unstable. The person scrolls back to the top of the site and notices a play button beneath what appears to be a wide screen video. The person clicks play, the video buffers and expands to the size of the screen. ACT 2 INT. INTERNET EXPLORER INSIDE FACEBOOK DIGITAL DNA (CGI VIDEO) - NIGHT The camera descends deep down into a tunnel of light past walls of programming code. A digital world appears illustrating electronic blue facebook DNA spirals with text wrapping around in between. VIDEO NARRATOR Welcome to the digital realm, what you are seeing in this field are the DNA strands which make up our cells and our entire existence. The camera floats over to a DNA spiral which extends creating a template DNA strand. VIDEO NARRATOR DNA or Deoxyribonucleic acid is in every cell of our bodies and it is what we are comprised of but like everything the cells die and so does our DNA. However, DNA is continually replicating. The process begins with a DNA strand extending to create a new DNA template for replication. A primer emerges and forges onto the template DNA strand; DNA polymerase begins synthesizing the two open ends of the new strand adding nucleotides to the 3 end of the template DNA. VIDEO NARRATOR Synthesis follows with a primer which is a strand of nucleic acid that catalyzes the DNA polymerase allowing them to add new nucleotides to the

existing template DNA. Polymerase begins at the 3 end of the primer copying the opposing strand onto the new template. The replaced DNA strand is not as perfect with the telomere tips slightly degraded. VIDEO NARRATOR The template becomes a new replicated DNA strand, however something is damaged in the replication process the protective tips of our DNA. These tips are called Telomeres and act as our DNAs suit of armour. Over time and after constant replication the telomeres are damaged and cause our cells to degrade aging our bodies physically. The camera returns to the digital passage of DNA strands toward the central agebook logo. VIDEO NARRATOR The question therefore becomes can we protect our cells from time itself? Maybe we are just not ready to make these kinds of decisions, for now and as ever time does it for us. The video disintegrates reverting the viewer to their facebook profile. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE - NIGHT A popup box suddenly appears telling the viewer that it has installed an official agebook time app on their facebook profile without their consent. Annoyed, the viewer clicks the apps description. TIME APP DESCRIPTION Thank you for installing the official agebook time app, your profile will now age accordingly with you in the real world. Your telomere index is how strong the telomeres on your DNA are and illustrate what condition your life is currently at, as you age so will your profile! agebook is your friend... TIME APP WARNING TEXT

We only hope that you will obey agebooks only rule to never remove the app from your profile, in doing so you are ensuring that we remain friends and are allowed to continually keep track of your telomeres consistency. Removal of the app is a breach of our friendship and time itself, help us to help you by protecting your facebook profiles DNA from the claws of time. Angered and confused the person tries to remove the app by clicking remove app. ACT 3. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE (DEGRADED) - NIGHT A high pitched beep sound emits from the computer and the screen flickers. The persons telomere rating lowers with the image and their profile starts to show evident signs of decay, the profiles DNA strand has been damaged. Angered the person starts rapid clicking the remove button on the app. The screen flickers different colours and a popup box appears - agebook is your friend. INT. INTERNET EXPLORER USER FACEBOOK PROFILE (DESTROYED) - NIGHT The persons profile degrades to the point of death with the facebook profiles screen colour turning black and white. With the profile now obviously dead the agebook app disappears from the persons profile. They then close their internet browser and revert to their desktop. INT. PERSONAL COMPUTER DESKTOP - NIGHT When the person arrives back on their desktop they notice an unauthorised agebook wallpaper has been installed on their desktop. A popup box suddenly appears congratulating them on installing the new desktop agebook solution. WTF! - Welcome to Facebook. END
