A Public Dialogue on the Report of the Mission to India of UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health was held on 13th August in New Delhi. Please read more The Second Meeting of the NAMHHR with Advisors and Associates was held on 12th August in New Delhi during which a future strategic plan for the next three years for the functioning of the alliance was made. A meeting with the Planning Commission on the Report of the Mission to India of UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health was held on 23rd August in which recommendations that came up at the Public Dialogue were presented. Health Watch Forum, Uttar Pradesh conducted a sharing of their study on IPHS monitoring on 28th May 2010 in Lucknow Prayas, Rajasthan as part of the Jan Swasthya Abhiyan has worked on the Costs of treatment and Generic Drugs Campaign; the National Consultation for which was held in May. Healthwatch Forum UP along with other organizations and networks formed the 'Swasthya Sewa Nijikaran Virodhi Manch' (SSNVM) to launch a public campaign to protest against the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government to privatize the public health system in order to improve health care services in the state. Jan Sahas, Madhya Pradesh has working on a Campaign on Manual Scavenging and Dalit Rights in the state. Jharkhand Women's Health Network will now be a partner of the National Alliance
