The Above chart is a 5 min intraday chart .The three moving averages with parameters E 7, E14 and E 21 added on the price chart. The crossover of the exponential 7 period moving average with exponential 14 and 21 period moving average provide the buy sell trigger. The crossover signal between the averages often fails in the side ways market. To overcome this problem an indicator called Directional Movement Index Rating (ADXR) is added on the chart. The parameter used for the indicator is as follows: DI period 14 ADX period 14 ADXR period 1 The ADXR (14,14,1) is an indicator, which shows the strength of the existing trend while the moving averages provide the direction of the trend. Rising ADXR with or after upward cross of moving averages indicate strong upward price movements while rising ADXR after downward crossover indicate strong downward price movements.
