The PSA 30V modular power supply and amplifier is designed to supply power to the Mark and VPA series active antennas as well as amplifying radio, TV and VTR signals with fitted plug-in modules. Factory fitted plug-in modules are available in three versions for the PSA 30V in addition to the basic power supply. The power supply accepts 24 V DC and 117/230 V AC. As with all other Naval products, the PSA 30V series is specifically designed for the special requirements needed for world-wide marine use. The unit is designed for indoor use only. For more details on different applications see overleaf.
Since 1971, the objective of Naval Electronics has been to offer the best possible products for TV and Radio reception at sea. Naval began with omnidirectional antennas and is the world leader in this field of technology today. Now, with an expanded product range, the name Naval means much more than antennas. Naval operates in more than 40 countries and has installations on thousands of vessels all over the world. Installation and Connection of PSA 30V The PSA 30V equipment shall be installed by approved/qualified installer, and only indoor installation is approved. The in, out and VTR parts are normally connect with F-female crimp connectors. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device and shall remain readily operable at all time.
Be sure to connect to an appropriate mains socket outlet with protective grounding connection. Improper grounding can result in an electrical shock. If class I cord with plug not is used, approved external circuit breaker must be installed in order to disconnect the unit. If the VTR input is not used please make sure that the 75ohms F-connector (500.207) is mounted. When the PSA30V is used as a sub/line amplifier the 15 V antenna power must be cut. NOTE! Only one of below power supply connections is allowed to be done. Technical data Max.output current: 500mA Max antenna current: 300mA Input voltage tolerance:+10/-15% Power consumption at 220-230 V AC input: Approx. 20 W Power consumption at 24 V DC input: Approx. 11 W Placing of modules
