ON EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ON FABRIC INDUSTRIES IN REFERENCE TO APPRAIL

OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH


The subject matter for this research Project is to study the impact of training on the overall skill development of workers. The specific objectives of the study are:

1. To examine the effectiveness of training in overall development of skills of workforce. 2. To examine the impact of training on the workers. 3. To study the changes in behavioral pattern due to training.

SOURCES OF DATA COLLECTION


Primary Sources
The primary data was obtained on wide scale ranging from pre-designed formats to open ended interviews. The primary means were: Questionnaires were administered across the top-level managers in the HR department of the chosen organizations. Discussions were held with some employees in order to obtain their view on the recruitment strategies followed.

Secondary Sources
Data was also screened from secondary sources for further inputs. Also data was obtained from various journals in order to supplement details of recruitment trends globally and locally.

Type of sampling: Random sampling method was used to obtain data. Sample extent: Ghaziabad

PROCEDURE FOR DATA COLLECTION


Communication, asking questions and receiving a response in person Visiting the various organizations, libraries, internet and also preparation of the questionnaire with the help of the project guide.

FINDINGS
The study on training and development practices at FABRIC INDUSTREIS involve the study of all the divisions of FABRIC due to time constraint the study was not extended to all the divisions level of satisfaction from the training and development practices and procedures. Also there is a lot of heavy bias attached with the responses because of personnel experience. The workers who take training from the hr manager are 75% satisfy but remaining 25%are not fully satisfy, because they provide internal experts but training not provided by the external experts. Hence the inputs would vary greatly amongst them due to the difference in level of authority and experience. .
