Selecting the Right Training Program or Product


You know you want to invest in your employees or your career through GCCA training resources, but how do you select the right program or product to meet your needs? Learning objectives specify the new knowledge, skills and abilities that a learner should accomplish from undertaking a learning experience. 2. What are learners learning preferences and styles? Self-Instruction Training Options


Online Training - Individualized, self-paced training that can be accessed ondemand, 24/7 from www.gcca.org/training. Depending on the students pace courses take 45 minutes to one hour to complete. $35 Member Rate. Technical Manuals - Developed by industry experts, GCCA publishes five manuals that address administrative and operational topics. For prices, visit www.gcca.org. Webinars - Quick one-hour, online seminars that provide information on the latest trends and technologies in the cold chain industry. Free to $100 Member Rate. Textbook - Successful Refrigerated Warehousing provides a comprehensive overview of what you need to know to managed a refrigerated warehouse facility. Free to WFLO Institute Students. $95 Member Rate.

In-person Training Options

IARW-WFLO Annual Convention and Expo - The worlds largest public refrigerated warehousing and logistics event includes a whole day of concurrent educational sessions covering a diverse range of topics. WFLO Institute - A four-day industry-specific program for public refrigerated warehousing (PRW) professionals offering more than 40 classes taught by leading experts in the refrigerated warehousing industry. IACSC Conference and Expo - The International Association for Cold Storage Constructions annual meeting is the place to learn about designing, building, and maintaining cold storage facilities. IARW North American Chapter Meetings - Chapter Meetings offer PRW professionals an opportunity to network with peers and discuss and learn about pressing regional industry issues. GCCA Assembly of Committees - Held annually in Washington, DC, this event brings members together to address issues that impact cold chain in a highly interactive committee format. AFFI-GCCA Food Logistics Forum - This event attracts frozen food professionals from production, foodservice, retail, and 3PL providers to learn about transportation and logistics trends in the cold chain. Lanier Technical College - Through a GCCA Service Partnership, Lanier Technical College offers GCCA members a discounted rate for their hands-on ammonia refrigeration program. 12
