journal is not new but our treatment is unique. Students will work with pencil, water soluble pencils and pigma pens, along with watercolor and colored pencils. A variety of casual writing will be included; calligraphic experience is not needed. An exciting transparent transfer method will be included and all students will have successful images in their final journal. Students will need to have a set of colors (Prang has a good quality set and is least expensive), a water soluble graphite pencil, colored pencils and a Micron Pigma pen size .005 or equivalent. Bring a blank journal with a spine at least 8 inches tall. We will add artistic elements to the pages. Lab fee of $5 is payable to the instructor. From working on color mixing theory, shading and composition, this class is designed for individualized instruction. Students will work on subject matter of their choice and are encouraged to experiment with different materials available in class. The fun of developing skills in watercolor washes, colored pencil shading, portraits, and florals are all included in this class.
