1. Programme description Management responsibilities in todays complex multi-national business organizations transcend a single functional specialty and require a broad array of specialized knowledge. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is designed for mid-career professionals whose careers and management responsibilities transcend a single functional specialty and require a broad array of specialized knowledge and skills. The emphasis of this interdisciplinary, integrated, and applied degree program is on the significant organizational and management processes that take place in the context of large public or private institutions doing business on a global scale. 2. Programme Aims/ Benefits The aim is to prepare students for upper management and executive-level positions by developing key managerial competenciesincluding critical thinking, systems thinking, team building, decision making, and ethical leadershipthat can be applied in any type of business enterprise. An MBA degree can benefit those in positions in business and management, especially those in executive and managerial positions.An MBA Program offers a range of benefits for the successful applicant, including: Business Knowledge: The MBA program gives you valuable knowledge about business and all its related aspects. You learn about business strategies and concepts, and those skills in practical life and in day to day business operations. Leadership Abilities: An MBA degree involves rigorous training, assignments, reports, presentations, and group projects, all of which give you the necessary abilities to handle

Programme structure and credit Units The Master of Business Administration (MBA) course is a 12 unit post-graduate program being offered by Lincoln University College (LUC) through its learning centre, the Lincoln University College Graduate School (LUCGS). The MBA course comprises of subjects carefully chosen from a combination of management disciplines with options for emphasis in global business. In order to specialise, the combination are as follows: Combination 1: Asian Business Environment (MGT502) and Entrepreneurship Management (504) or write a thesis (inclusive of a literature review) in a group of 2 members on Asian Business Trends with a specific area that is decided by both students to be awarded the Master of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship Strategy Manager). Viva voice not required. Only hand in the thesis and literature review to the respective supervisor. Combination 2: International Business (MGT505) + Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness (MGT506) ) or write a thesis (inclusive of a literature review) in a group of 2 members on Global Marketing with a specific area that is decided by both students to be awarded the Master of Business Administration (International Business Manager).
