VIRTUES IN ACTION
24 POSTERS FOR DAILY REFLECTION BASED ON THE VIRTUES PROJECT PROJECT
The Virtues in Action folder is based on the text from the Virtues Cards (part of the materials of the Virtues Project ). It consists of 24 posters A3 format. The idea behind it is to present the content of the cards in a larger more colorful and visually engaging format, and to add photographs depicting the virtue in action. The main goal is the folder to be distributed FREE to kindergartens, schools, kids corners at libraries, community centers etc. Parents who'd like to introduce it to their children could also order it online from the web site www.virtuesinaction.com free of charge covering only the shipping and handling fee. The Virtues in Action folder is to serve as an introduction to Linda K.Popov's book Family Virtues Guide: Simple Ways to Bring Out the Best in Our Children and Ourselves (Penguin Books). The book shows how to: learn the language of integrity and self-esteem; understand the five roles parents' play; discover ways to introduce sacred time into family life, help children make moral choices. The Virtues Project is an initiative which began in 1991 to empower individuals and families to live by their highest values. It was inspired by a desire to do something to counteract the rising violence in and around families. Education is key to transformation, but it must involve education which touches the human spirit. The Virtues Project is an approach which calls people to remembrance of the virtues, the qualities of character. Detailed information on these 52 virtues is available on the web site www.virtuesproject.com.

THE VISION of the Virtues Project is to serve humanity by having an empowering global impact on the moral and spiritual development of peoples of all cultures, by helping them to remember who they really are and to live by their highest values.

THE MISSION of the Virtues Project is to provide multi-cultural products and programs of excellence and simplicity which can serve as tools for the cultivation of the virtues in individuals, families, organizations, communities.

Cultivate Virtue in your own person, And it becomes a genuine part of you. Cultivate it in the family, And it will abide. Cultivate it in the community, And it will live and grow. Cultivate it in the state, And it will flourish abundantly. Cultivate it in the world, And it will become universal. ~ Lao Tzu
