international origins
Bocconis international roots stem from founder Ferdinando Bocconis personal business experience abroad. His decision to establish Italys first institution of higher learning for economics was motivated by an awareness that exchange between countries of knowledge, products and opinions is an important vehicle of progress. Today Bocconi is more international than ever before: the hundreds of students entering each year from around the world make up over 10% of the student body. Our catalog features many programs taught in English, starting from the undergraduate level. After one of these programs, which include Italian instruction for international participants at the schools Language Center, students can continue with MSc, Specialized Master or PhD programs in English or Italian.

highly-ranked MBA
The SDA Bocconi School of Management is located on the same campus as the University, and offers highly regarded business and executive programs, including Italys only internationally-ranked* MBA program. Other Specialized Master Programs covering finance, sports, fashion and international economics are available at SDA Bocconi for people with at least three years of working experience. With the support of our International Relations Service, nearly two thousand students participate in incoming or outgoing exchanges with Bocconi every year, further enriching their university experience through periods of study or internships.
