Quick explanation: I have listed the questions and corresponding marks for each past paper for a view

of what appeared in a given paper. Then Ive ranked the topics according to the weight of marks a topic may carry. So, inevitably, the 12 marker is first and topics with only 1 mark are last. Its numbered and sort of colour-coded to help. If it helps, it helps. If it doesnt, then it doesnt because ive made this for everyones benefit. If you are ungrateful, I dont want to hear it! If you appreciate it, youre welcome! ^_^ Jan 2009 Stress (Acute/sympathetic) 2 marker Stress (Acute/Parasympathetic) 2 marker Stress (stress and immune system) 4 marker Personality types 2 marker RM stress 2 marker Sources of stress in workplace 4 marker 8 marker on Emotion focused approachhowever, not in spec anymore Conformity 2 marker Resisting pressures to conform 2 marker Explanation of why people obey 4 marker RM ethical issues on Milgram 2 marker RM Strength and limitations of Milgrams methods 4 marker Resisting pressures to obey 4 marker What are the implications for social change of research on social influence? 6 marker Explaining and defining abnormality 3 marker Behavioural approach 2 marker Weaknesses of behavioural approach 2 marker CBT 5 marker (Changed to focus moreso on SIT and whatnot in new spec) Outline + evaluate biological approach 12 marker In order of most allocated marks: 1. Systematic de-sensitisation From the above topics, the Cognitive approach to abnormality has never appeared, the role of minority influence in social change has not overtly

appeared; although, there was a 6 mark question on it in Jan 2011. Otherwise, it has never appeared in the context of the role of minority influence in social change. Definitions of abnormality as well as their limitations have appeared in all of the above past papers, so Id recommend learning them too. Also, SAM and PAS havent appeared as questions that carry big marks and ECT has not appeared for a while. This is just a guidance for last minute revision. You can use it to narrow the topics you learn; one or two nights before the exam.

TO THE BEST OF YOUR

ABILITY! JUST BEAR IN MIND, THAT THE COGNITIVE APPROACH HAS NEVER APPEARED SINCE THE START OF PSYA2 2009, NOT EVEN AS A 1 MARKER!

Good luck!
