Our metropolis is suffocating in smoke Skopje, our capital and beautiful city still has the problem of air

pollution. Since the industrial era stepped on the scene, the vehicles, the traffic itself and factories are the main causes of environmental pollution. Skopje, right after Veles, is the most polluted city in our country, followed by Bitola and Tetovo. It is a well known fact that this is where most of the traffic and industrial facilities that function under precisely defined government restrictions are concentrated. Although geographically Skopje is a valley surrounded by mountains and hill regions and has an excellent infrastructure this is not enough to preserve the clean air. Each year, during the same period in time, namely the beginning of the winter, the same problems appear concerning those with chronic illnesses- their breathing is rendered more difficult due to high level of hard particles present in the air, as well as smog. For those who find themselves in this particular risk group, doctors recommend that they spend as little time outside as possible.One advantage of this issue of heightened amount of pollution, both on a local and global level, is the accelerated development of technology designed to reduce emission of harmful gasses, such as green vehicles, whose use is becoming more and more frequent. In the meantime, efforts to raise awareness of the importance of recycling point to the fact that our individual actions are not in vain and everyones step is imperative to sweep the road that next generations will step onto.

Edna pozitivna strana vo problemot so zgolemenoto nivo na zagadenost na globalna, a i lokalna strana e zabrzaniot razvoj na tehnologijata nameneta za reducirano ispustanje na stetni gasovi, kako sto se 'zelenite avtomobili', cija upotreba stanuva se pocesta.
