A response which highlighted a personal love for contradictionthis particular example, being that of analogue and digital. The html and css from my website, has printed in a truly analogue fashion. Challenging the standardised notion of a digital portfolio, in order to grab the attention of designers, which I aspire to be associated with.

As previously highlighted, this project revolves almost entirely around the analogue production of the book. Copper plates were acid etched, were hand inked and printed from on a Colombian Press. The additional format was hand set and printed on a proofing press at The Print Project. This whole process took and estimated ninety hours.

This brief was unsuccessfully entered into D&AD, at a concept stage before production took place. No doubt, reducing any chance of success. However the notion of the contact with industry has been carried through. Any professional that has responded positively will be presented with a poster to in person.

Dear Aaron

Hi Aaron, Thank you for sending your website in the post. The project is really great and the online version is very nice too. Would you like to come by for a studio visit at some point?

Dear Aaron, Thank you for your curious booklet Analogue Website. For me, as an old designer, still with one leg in the pre-computer period, it is beautiful abacadabra.

Just to say thank you for you analogue website publication that you sent me it was very kind of you. I hope all is going well with you in Leeds. Do get in touch when you move to London and we can go through your work. With best wishes

Were not looking to employ anyone and are having no interns over the summer (simply because we want some quiet time after a busy year of teaching). But let us know if youre in London and want to drop by for a chat. Robert

From the colophon I learn that you made it with letterpress; truly digital subject in analogue form. I appreciate it very much. With best wishes, Wim Crouwel

As an integral part of the brief was to make contact with industry, its level of success can be measured by its responses. Six copies of the Analogue Website were sent out, provoking

three responses from Fraser Muggeridge (Fraser Muggeridge Studio), Robert Sollis (Europa) and Wim Crouwel.
