Description AMP NETCONNECTs Fast Ethernet media converters are very simple, easy-to-install and are ideal for Ethernet over fiber extension in small office / home office (SOHO), branch, enterprise, Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) applications. With support for 10/100 Mbps data rates and full/half duplex modes, these compact, high quality media converters are ideal for professional and carrier grade applications. These compact media converters enable 10/100 Mbps Ethernet to be extended over optical fiber links to connect users or workgroups to remote access switches, routers and server NIC cards. Meeting all the relevant industry standards for 100 Mbps Ethernet, installation is plug-and-play and requires no technical knowledge. Support for the current industry standard fiber connectors like SC, ST and MT-RJ simplifies installation into both new and legacy cabling systems The AMP NETCONNECT media converters utilize an external power supply for standalone applications, but up to 12 units can also be 19 rack mounted in an AC powered enclosure to simplify installation in communications rooms where large numbers of fiber circuits and being terminated. Features Fully compatible with 10Base-T, 100Base-T and 100Base-FX standards Available in both multimode and singlemode fiber formats Supports full or half-duplex auto-negotiation together with N-Way capability Supports auto-polarity wiring correction on the RJ-45 UTP port Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for RJ-45 crossover cables LED indicators for monitoring and diagnostics International safety and EMC approvals Family includes Gigabit Ethernet fiber media converters Very simple to install and maintain Compact size and very cost effective solution
