May 20th Archdiocesan Collection This Weekend

For the Popes Pastoral Works

A disastrous flood or earthquake strikes a nation at the other end of the world. Immediately, many countries rush in food, medicine, blankets, money, and trained people. Prominent among such aid is the financial help offered by the Holy Father to people in need. The annual Popes Pastoral Works collection makes these funds available for distribution. In the name of Catholics everywhere, he displays Christs love and compassion for those who suffer.

Baby Shower for Crisis Pregnancy Centres ShareLife 2012

Working Wonders For The Homeless Gerard Brisebois, was in his mid-70s when he came to Les Centres dAccueil heritage. Abandoned by his family, he was living in a downtown shelter frail, friendless and isolated. At Les Centres, Gerard found a wonderful, nurturing home and a warm, supportive family. When he passed away, the man who seemed alone and friendless, brought out a tearful crowd to his farewell Mass. Many seniors in the GTA were involved in the programs and services offered by ShareLife agencies last year. Please give generously. You can work WONDERS! June 3rd - after all Sunday Masses Please join your fellow parishioners in the Parish Hall for cake and coffee, and bring a small gift for one of the many mothers or babies that receive support from the various Crisis Pregnancy Centres in the GTA. Items most needed include: diapers of ALL sizes, wipes, baby soaps & lotions, towels and wash cloths, diaper shirts and sleepers, crib sheets, cotton bibs and hats, baby socks, formula, and toiletries for moms (i.e. soaps, deodorant, shampoo). New or gently used strollers, car seats and larger items are also needed and greatly appreciated. Proceeds will be divided between: Sisters of Life, Birthright Toronto, Aid to Women & Rosalie Hall. For more information, or if you would like to help out, please contact Jennifer Medal at: jennifer.vanlanen@gmail.com or 416-233-5054.
