Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass
The Diocese of Joliet will hold its Thirtyfourth Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. If you are celebrating either your 25th or 50th anniversary this year, please contact the Parish Office so that we may submit your name to the Diocese for a formal invitation.

Our Habitat for Humanity Summer Mission Team 2012 counts on your prayer as we travel to the Mississippi Delta for our service week June 9-16. Dear Family, Summers almost upon us. Weve certainly experienced it in the warm weather this spring. What a delight it has been. God has blessed us with the gift of Fr. Mark Fracaro who will be joining us as a retired priest on June 20th. He will reside on the third floor of the Early Learning Center. I know youll all give him a warm welcome. Hell be a blessing to our parish. This summer, hopefully by July, we will complete the restoration project of the church. I am deeply appreciative to everyone who has donated to the beautification of our church. John Economo, our project manager, and his wife Nancy, who has helped with all of the color selections, etc., have been extremely helpful in this project. Holy Hour: On June 10, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Bishop Conlon has requested each parish to hold a HOLY HOUR FOR RECOMMITMENT with regard to child abuse. This date coincides with the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People and provides an opportunity for us to seek the Lords help in dealing with a serious, ongoing issue in the Church. Jr. High X-treme Taste of Faith: God Calls you by Name on Sunday, June 24th ,10:30 am to 4 pm at St. Charles Pastoral Center /Lewis University. All current 6th and 7th grade youth of the parish are invited to attend this 5 hour eXperience to learn more about their faith in fun and dynamic ways. The day will include National speakers, fun activities, time with old and new friends, lunch, Mass and a wonderful campus experience at Lewis University. Readings for the Week

Your family must be registered active members of St. Dennis. Baptismal Prep Mtgs. are divided into two meetings, 4 weeks apart on Saturdays, 9 - 10:30 am. Next Preparation classes are June 16th and August 18th. Parents and Godparents are required to attend both classes before a date is set. For more info. and dates, call the Parish Office at 815-838-2592, ext. 123. At least one Godparent must be a confirmed Catholic, active in their faitha letter of permission is required from their church.

ST. DENNIS ROSARY MINISTRY

If you would like an inspirational gift for a birthday, anniversary, baptism or wedding or just to say I love you., please call anytime and we would be happy to help you. Do you have old rosaries, chaplets, beads or Holy Medals? The beads are used to make rosaries for those beginning their journey to wholeness through healing prayer, as well as to encourage people to pray the rosary. Holy medals are also repurposed and will provide another avenue of prayer. If you would like to donate the above items, please place them in the basket in narthex or call Kim 815 5602468 or Mary 815 838-2592 for more info. We also repair rosaries at no charge.
