Curriculum
The program is specially designed to provide the latest global management tools and concepts, enabling the students to develop essential management skills with the help of series of workshops, role playing and case discussions. With subject syllabus the institute is also teaching software namely SPSS, Coral Draw and Photoshop. The institute has also incorporated 'Mentorship programme' in its curriculum. Here, each student (Mentee) is assigned to a faculty member (Mentor) with a view to nurturing values, skills and success that the neophyte professional person intends to acquire some day. Infrastructure
Classroom
The institution has exquisitely designed classrooms with well-furnished desks and comfortable chairs. The facilities like multimedia projector system & Overhead Projector equip the classrooms for high-tech facultystudent interactions. Computer Facility
A Unique feature of the institute is its state of the art computer facilities to develop computer skills and competence in their students as per real time requirement. The institution has two separate computer lab with 90 and 30 computers in each. The computers are adequate in numbers and have most modern configurations including the latest Processor; all these computers are networked based on Window NT, which are attached to servers through Ethernet cable network. Internet facility is also duly installed in computer center and all classrooms. The Institute has also installed Wi-Fi network to access internet in the campus.

Library
Library is said to be Knowledge Hub of any academic institute. Adapting this in its true spirit, the Institution offers to its student an array of the richest central library facilities with fully computerized, easy access system occupying around 500 sq. mt. of space including cubicles for peaceful studies. There are more than 12258 book volumes containing 4887 titles from well-known national and foreign publications covering a wide range of issues in the area of management studies. Currently the institute subscribes 88 Magazines and Journals with 1500 e-journals (including all IIMs Journals), which comprised some titles of international repute.

Seminar Hall
One of the architectural delights of the institute is its air-conditioned Seminar Hall with the capacity of 240 participants. The hall is well equipped with multi-media projection system, audio-video facilities, internet facility and recording systems. It gives right ambience to the students of the institute in organizing the most sought after IndustryInstitute-Interactions.

Hostel Accommodation
Emphasizing that professional programmes require a fulltime presence of the students in the campus, the institute provides excellent hostel and recreation facilities separately for male and female students. The rooms are well furnished with proper ventilation arrangement, attached toilet facility. Each room provides a bed, a study table, a chair and a cupboard for the comfortable and homely staying. The hostel kitchen provides excellent and hygienic catering facilities at very affordable rate.

Transportation Facility
Transportation facility is available for the students, who wish to commute from Ahmedabad. The institutes bus covers major destinations of Ahmedabad.

Placement is the most alluring aspect for any Management Institute. S. V Institute of Management has an integrated Placement Cell completely dedicated for providing proper platform to the students to fetch a perfect job fit based on their talent. SVIM has excellent Placement Record since its inception. Last years Placement (year 2011) acknowledged companies from different sectors and industries participating in the campus placement drive at SVIM. SVIM had record 40 companies which offered jobs to the students. Placement Brochure Launch

Normally, to refer a placement brochure is a monotonous job where nothing interesting is found except the students detail. SVIM is breaking this myth by creating a unique legacy of raising contemporary social and humane issues in its official placement brochure for last 10 years. These brochures do not remain as an ordinary placement brochure but they are successfully transformed into coffee-table books. In 2012, the theme of placement brochure is Edutainment...An academic insight of entertainment.... It incorporates contribution of Bollywood and Hollywood movies towards various fundamentals of management education. Shri. Apoorva Lakhia, Bollywood Director, launched Placement Brochure 2012. In 2011, the theme was Integrating Ancestral Scripture values.In unprecedented way ahead. Shri Jaynarayan Vyas, Honorable Cabinet Minister (Tourism and Health Care) Government of Gujarat, launched Placement Brochure and Shree Ajay Umat, State Head - Divya Bhaskar Group, delivered keynote address at the function. In 2010, the theme was AmelioratingBy sensibly environmental. Shri. Saurabhbhai Patel, Hon. Minister, Industry, Finance, Planning, Energy and Petrochemical, Cottage and Small Industry, launched the placement brochure. CEOs, Directors, VPs, HR Managers, corporate representatives, alumnus, students, media and trust officials are invited at the launch of placement brochure. 06

Co-Curricular Activities at SVIM

The Unassailable -Institute's Annual Event
Institute's yearly event, The Unassailable had been deliberated in 2009 for providing the platform to the budding professionals of management education. For last three editions, The Unassailable had provided the opportunity to the students from all over India to prove their mettle in a structured way and it has evolved as the biggest and the most competitive event for management students in India. The participants from various states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa etc. are regularly contesting for the title The Unassailable. Apart from the competition, the event also provides an opportunity to interact with the learned persons and celebrities who come as keynote speakers for the inaugural function. The event has also been covered by regional and national media. In two editions, The Unassailable achieved remarkable success as National Summer Project Competition. In 2012, the scale of the competition was extended and eight quality competitions namely New Idea/Product/Concept, Ad Poster Competition, Group Discussion, Case Study, Movie Based Management Lessons, LAN Gaming, Dance and Fashion Show were included along with summer project competition. Here, more than 1000 institutes had been invited to participate. The event received an overwhelming and record response and more than 1100 participants had been registered for various competitions where cash prizes of more than one lac were distributed among the winners. Keynote Address was delivered by Prof. Abraham Koshy, Professor of Marketing IIMA, a reputed teacher, researcher, consultant and corporate trainer. Shri. Anil Johri, ED-Asset Manager, ONGC, Ahmedabad, addressed students as Chief Guest. In 2010, Mr. Chetan Bhagat (Highest selling English language Indian author who is included by time magazine in the list of world's 100 most influencing people) was the keynote speaker. Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad had inaugurated the competition. Shri Ram Avtar, Executive Director, ONGC Mehsana Asset had provided their precious presence as a Guest of Honor. In 2009, Hon. Vice Chancellor of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Dr. B. A. Prajapati delivered keynote address and Mr. G. G. Trivedi, Executive Director - Somany Ceramics, was the chief guest.

Extra Curricular Activities at SVIM

ANTARNAD- Voice of the Soul (Social Group)
At SVIM, care for society and underprivileged is core even while aim is to strive for excellence and growth. ANTARNAD is the student-run social group established to nurture the societal values among the budding managers so that they become socially responsible corporate leaders and good human beings. The students join the group as volunteers to perform various social activities on nonworking days. In this academic year, the students have visited Old Age Home - Jivan Sandhya, Andhajan Mandal and Behra Munga School at Ahmedabad. The group had also organized RTI Awareness Programme at the institute by inviting RTI experts form Gujarat Mahiti Adhikar Pahel. for all the students and faculty members. The winners were awarded with the certificates & trophy.

Hostel Club
Institute also runs hostel club for the students staying at the hostel. The students are provided internet facility, newspaper and sports kit of cricket and football at free of charge. The club organizes extra lectures in the morning in which faculty members discuss case studies of various subjects. The club also arranges sports tournaments and birthday celebration of the students.

SVIM'S Movie Club

The Institute also runs Movie Club, which includes entertainment movies, documentary films & speeches of eminent personalities which comprises the areas like mythology, commun-ication, politics, cultural issues etc. The selection of movie is based on the themes like contemporary issues, learning lessons from the people who excel in their fields and strategic issues which help the students to confront the real life situation.

Blood Donation Camp

The institute regularly organizes a blood donation camp at its premises. This year, the camp was organized with the cooperation of Indian Red Cross Society and more than hundred donors, including students of the institute have voluntarily donated blood.

Navaratri Celebration
'Navaratri' is in heart of each Gujarati and Gujarat is recognized worldwide because of this festival. The institute has tradition to celebrate 'Navaratri Festival' at institute's lawn. All faculty members and students had enthusiastically participated in the event and their colorful traditional dresses look like a kaleidoscope on the ground.

Exhibition of Advertisements
The students have shown their great concern for the society by developing promos on the issues like Save Birds, Stop Piracy, Eco-friendly Fuels, Respect the women, Renewable energy sources, Thalassemia, Global Worming, AIDS, No More plastics, Child Marriage, Polio, Sexual Abusement of children, Save Asiatic Lion, Save Water, Corruption and Smoking etc. These promos are displayed as an exhibition and it is inaugurated by eminent persons. Last two exhibitions were inaugurated by Shree Saurabhbhai Patel State Minister and Prof. Atul Tandan-former director of MICA. The exhibition is kept open for two days and visited by few eminent persons of advertising industry, academicians and students from different B-Schools. The acclaimed figures from the media put their notes for the exhibition.

For bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, the institute regularly invites eminent personalities from the industry as a guest faculty. Industrial Visit
To provide the firsthand experience of industry environment, this year, with the help of Adani Foundation, the institute has organized an industrial visit of Mundra. In Mundra students have visited various ventures of Adani Group named Adani Power, Adani Port, Fortune Edible oil and Adani Container Terminal.

Alumni Association
S V Institute has a strong alumni base of 780 management professionals, who are ambassadors of the institute, specifically known as SVIM Family. Strong Alumni Association and its spread across the states of India and in some western countries give an extra edge to the institute for its prolific growth. All alumni are associated closely with each other as well as the institute through social media. An Alumni meet takes place twice a year where they all share their experiences with current students. This will help existing students to find summer and final placements. The Placement committee constantly Counsels the Alumni, as a career guide and informs them as and when some companies require experienced people.
