Field Geology Research, (May 2008 to June 2008. Baraboo, WI)

• Experience with geological data collection, dip/plunge measurement of
planar/linear features, data documentation, sampling, data interpretation,
geological map preparation and report writing.
• Investigated the bedding planes in the Baraboo Quartzite.
• Calculated several stadia measurements.
• Prepared a regional map of Baraboo area, WI.
• Prepared a map for an old dolomite quarry.
• Experienced the concept and methods of dip and strike determination, erosion
patterns and composition of the Archean, Precambrian and Paleozoic rocks.
• Investigated the special features such as boudinage, chatter marks, slicken sides,
slump folds, tectonic folds, glacial striations, feeder dikes, agglomerate.
