Peace versus Peace, Peace Ceases Peace, not war. Nobody wants war, thats a fact.

The word war itself connotes an unimaginable disaster that every man in his right mind would not want to experience such horror. Every man wants to live in peace, only hypocrites would contend. But what constitute peace in the first place? Peace varies and relative to every man. But all would practically concede to the assumption that peace means living in harmony and happily, with tranquillity in mind and body. But then, what if man has to achieve peace in the expense of another mans peace? This is where the grey area thresholds. History supports us that in the past ages, various wars emerge by motives associated by unparalleled lust of acquisition, say property and power. But one significant factor that often unearthed is that they want to achieve the case in point, peace. Yes, you read it right. Peace, that is, by way of selfishness and violence and through the expense of others, needless to say. It has also something to do with man, his sense of pride particularly. Man, in his infallible nature has this intensity of pride that often staggering. Great conquerors, for example, have unique reasons for their decisive course of action. However, if we examine in a much deeper setting, they also want to feed their pride. By doing such, they can achieve happiness, and happiness, as one factor that constitute to achieving peace is clearly an arresting revelation. By now, the reader realizes that man himself is the cause of turmoil and in the extreme, war. True. In fact, numerous deadliest phenomena are man-made. Soldiers, often subjects of ruthless leaders, tend to put their lives at great peril in times of war leaving broken families. It is also considerable to take into account that man has the capability to reason and that through reasoning lays the ways possible to attain a specific goal, from modest to bold. However, our capability to reason is not the fault; it is on how we use it that draws the line between good and bad. You might think that if this is so, then peace can never be achieved as long as man lives. Surprisingly, the answer is No. Man can in fact exists in harmony as long as it avoids selfish motives and think only of the common good. No man is an island therefore we convene for a unified purpose. Any irreconcilable interest of a member from a collective entity, if not dealt upon, in a relax manner, is the start of the dilemma. It is also considerable that man should not engage in furious resorts to feed peace. Bloody wars cost many lives, thwarting another million souls to live in peace. We witnessed heartbreaking pictures of dead bodies scattered during wars and those were never been a delight. A nonviolent procedure, say diplomacy is an extravagant idea. Settling misunderstandings verbally is the safest. We all know how powerful the words that came before our mouth, therefore to utilize these words in a noble way, is the way to go. If tongue is the mightiest sword, why not use it rather than the real sharp edged one?

It is also ideal that man must reduce its sense of pride for it only plagues the genuine and harmless meaning of peace. Excessive density of pride feeds mans anger that triggers to generate dreadful solutions. All the mention solutions above are several among the multitudes of ways. In the end of the day, it is our humanity is at stake. Peace can be achieved, not just a wishful thinking but it can be done. We have the gift of reasoning therefore we should maximize it to come up with harmless and sound peace. If man is capable to cause chaos, all the more that it can work for peace. #
