57 Churches Doing More Together Than One Church Can Do Alone!
tist State Convention. These are the people I know and trust. These are the people I can count on. I have no interest in the mega church model that some seem to want to force on to our national Convention. That model will not work in Chilton County, nor will it work in most areas of our nation. We are a nation of small towns and rural communities and so is our Southern Baptist Convention. When we forget that truth, we are in trouble (and I am afraid many of our national leadership have, in fact, forgotten that truth). Please pray for our Convention, especially during June 18-20. We will be electing a new President. Pray that he will be the right man (Gods man) for a time such as this. Thank you all for the invitations to preach and share. I have received several lately and that is really a blessing. God called me to preach and I count it a privilege to have those special opportunities in our churches.

Kids Camp is rapidly approaching. Are your children signed up? The deadline is NOW! We also need counselors, especially adult counselors. Please let us hear from you ASAP. This is a great ministry to our children and a great opportunity for our counselors to impact young lives for Christ. Call or come by the Association Office today. The Southern Baptist Convention will be meeting in New Orleans in a few days from now (June 18-20). Our leaders are charting new directions for our SBC entities and Missions Boards. Some of the proposed changes have created controversy and many questions. I have a few questions and concerns myself. Please pray that we will seek, first and foremost, the will of God and not our own personal agenda. I intend to remain loyal to the Chilton Baptist Association and the Alabama Bap-

The Evangelism Response Center provides a network of believers in North America trained to communicate the message of our Lord Jesus Christ to people through the telephone and the Internet 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Volunteers from YOUR church can now share The Good News of Jesus Christ with receptive people from their own homes! If you would like to receive training to be a volunteer, please contact the Association Office at 755-3188. We would like to schedule the Training as soon as possible.

CLANTON FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

JULY 23-27, 2012 Cost: $170 COUNSELORS NEEDED

Must be at least 16 years old and be recommended by your Pastor. We especially need adult counselors. Each church is responsible for their own childrens transportation to and from Shocco Springs. Arrival time on Monday, July 23rd is 4:00 p.m. and departure time on Friday, July 27th is 9:30 a.m. We will have a worship service that morning and everyone is invited to attend.
