Puntadas - Stitching:

Haz unas puntadas con la aguja y el hilo. Apretaditos. Se puede coser con maquina, si se desea. Tightly, stitch by hand with a needle and thread. You may use a sewing machine if desired.

Luego, tapa las puntadas hechas a mano o a maquina con alambre.

Then cover the stitches made by hand or sewing machine with the wire. Alambre caliber 12, wire 12 gauge

Corte 4.5 pulgadas de alambre. Haz un loop en las puntas y dobla el alambre por la mitad como en la foto. Este alambre es 12 ga pero se puede usar mas fino como de 16 ga. Cut 4.5 inches of wire. Make a loop at each end and bend the wire as seen in the pic. The wire is 12 ga but you can use a thinner gauge like 16.

Enrolla el alambre alrededor del kumihimo, asegurandose de tapar las puntadas. Wrap the wire around the kumihimo, making sure the stitches are covered.

Flat kumihimo

Al enrollar el alambre queda ovalado y algo aplastado. When the wire is fully wrapped it will have an oval and flattened shape.

Se puede hacer un alambrado libre. You can do a freehand wiring.

Cono - Cone
Luego de las puntadas a mano o a maquina, enrolla un alambre finito (use 18 ga) pegado a la orilla del kumihimo, pasa 3 pulgadas del mismo alambre por el hueco del cono cubridor y haz un loop en el lado exterior. Puedes poner pega antes de acomodar el cono. After hand stitching or machine sewing, wrap a thin wire (I used 18 ga) close to the edge of the kumihimo, and pass 3 inches of it through the hole of the cap and make a loop on the outside. You may use glue on the edge, before placing the cap in position.

Agarres para cinta-Ribbon crimps

No tengo agarres grandes, solo estos pequenos, pero estan han de sevir en un kumihimo fino. I dont have large ribbon crimps, only small ones, these might work well with a thin kumihimo.
