Description iView is a strategic windows client based application Production Support Environment leveraging .NET
for the presentation tier, Java as the business and database tier and UDB as the physical database. iView
is an integrated environment of a suite of production support tools bringing in production issues (alerts,
user tickets, incident tickets, milestone breaches) in an integrated manner, coupled with SLA based
escalation frameworks, Planning Intelligence (Shift, BCP, Support Efficiency), Collaboration Tools
(Knowledge Repository, IM, Blogs) and a rich dashboard (Business Intelligence View) of the operating
plant. The iView targets a wide range of users like the support analysts, application team, and senior
management / line managers in the Application Management area. Current target User base of the tool is
106 and is estimated to be deployed to all development teams involving production support activities.

Description OTCC is the Operations Technology Command Centre that provides 24x7 Production Support to a wide
range of Application families in an integrated manner. The services include Batch Support, Incident
Management, User Support and Frequent Failure Analysis for applications dealing with Clearance &
Settlement, Asset Servicing, Client Services (Sub-ledgers), Prime Brokerage, Ledgers and
Reconciliations. OTCC is a part of an Integrated Support model which is organized as a single Support
Generalist Layer spanning all applications for L1/L2 support (OTCC), Support Specialist Layer specific
for each applications for L2 support (advanced user Support) and Support Expert Layer (application
team) for each application for L3 support. The Command Centre is a 40 member team supporting 150+
applications and operates as a dual city model (Bangalore & SLC) with L2 & L3 spread across globally
(NJ, SLC, TKY, HK, LDN, SNG, BLR). OTCC functions as the first line of defence for the production
applications and is the first to know of issues. OTCC resolves issues based on run books and escalates
complex issues up the functional ladder. Support Efficiencies are also implemented by the OTCC in

Project ACI Interfaces
Client Amlin Corporate Insurance, UK
Description Amlin Corporate Insurance is replacing their current core insurance product with Xchanging’s core
insurance product (GENIUS). ACI has many satellite applications that are used by brokers and insurers
for policy data, claims requests, claim settlements, premium payments etc. As part of this
implementation, interfaces between GENIUS and the satellite applications will be built to seamlessly
message the data. The interfaces will be implemented using BizTalk as the middleware and .NET C# as
the programming language for orchestration, business policy rules and error handling. The overall
programme involves data warehousing (data from GENIUS is synchronized to Amlin’s data warehouse)
and data migration using SQL Server Integration Services to migrate data from the current core
insurance product to GENIUS. This project is in the due-diligence phase of 10 weeks during which the
high level requirements, project governance, detailed project plans and change management plans will
be produced.

Description Global Equity Group (GEG) Research Platform is Franklin Templeton’s “next generation” investment

prestigious and key initiative, which is currently being managed by Ness IBS. The GEG platform
enables the Research Analysts and Portfolio Managers to perform two main functions, namely Stock
Analysis & Recommendation and Portfolio Management. The platform integrates market data from
various systems (internal and external) and consolidates them thus enabling Research Analysis and
Portfolio Managers to “Slice and Dice” the research data and enables the Research Analysts to provide
their recommendations (buy/sell/hold) on companies. The recommendations are approved by the

Description The product is an on-line trading system facilitating the management of transactions of stocks and
options of bullions and futures commodities. Reports are generated at end-of-day, end-of-month and
end-of-year. The database is maintained in Sybase. My work was in developing a tool that generates
reports of various designs and letterheads. The tool reads a template defined in 2 master tables and then
triggers SQL procedures which act as the data feed. The data is fitted on to the template and printed out
to the console or printer.
