Abstract A concise summary of the article, including the background, introduction, objectives, methods, main results, and discussion in less than two hundred words.

Introduction Background information about the research topic, and relevant details about the biology of any organisms studied. Research Question: Will various levels of a pure solvent (Water) have a significant impact on the transfer of solvent through the dialysis tube? Null Hypothesis (H0): The volume of pure solvent, water, does not affect the final concentration of the sucrose solute within dialysis pockets. Alternative Hypothesis (H1): The volume of pure solvent, water, affects the final concentration of the sucrose solute within dialysis pockets. Prediction: There will be no significant difference in the concentration of sucrose within the dialysis pockets, regardless of the varying levels of water in the beaker.

Methods A description of the experimental methods as they were performed, including any apparatus used, to enable other researchers to repeat the same experiment exactly as conducted.

Results The collected data were manipulated in Microsoft Excel 2007 to create a plot of

Discussion Discussion of the results, referring to any figures or tables in the results section and comparing the results to the hypothesis and prediction. Possible sources of error in the experiment. Ways in which the experiment could be improved. Summary of the results. Answer(s) to Questions 1) Answers to any specific questions asked in the laboratory outline.
