DAILY LESSON PLAN : TEACHING OF THEME/TOPICS/UNITS TEACHING THE SAME TOPIC BUT WITH AN EXTENSION ON SCOPE DAILY LESSON

PLAN : TEACHING OF THEME/TOPICS/UNITS MONDAY ENGLISH LANGUAGE 5 ARIF 12.10-1.10 pm ( 1 hour ) Theme : World of Knowledge Topic : Bountiful Harvest Sub- Topic/ Teaching Point : Nouns, Adjectives Skills 2.1.1 2.7.4 3.3.3 3.8.2 4.1.4 : Repeat words that contain the following sound vi) initial blends Responding to suggestions Read and understand phrases, sentences, paragraphs and whole text Scan for specific information in text Write words, phrases and sentences in clear, legible cursive writing

Teaching Aid : Textbook, Illustrations, Word Cards, Worksheet 1 Learning Outcomes/Objective (s) : i. By the end of the lesson pupil s should be able to read and answer questions in a comprehension text . ii. By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to identify and name different types of items and actions Moral Value : Hardworking, Diligence Activities 1. Set Induction - Pupils listen and respond to question What do people plant? Why do they plant? 2. Pupils to read a text related to planting paddy and in pairs read, identity and write down actions and items used in planting paddy in the text in Worksheet 1 under either/or Nouns/ Actions/ Adjectives . 3. Pupils fill in a flow chart to show sequence of producing rice. 4. Pupils in groups list/write down words/phrases they know describing scenery and colours of a paddy field before planting, while ripening and after harvesting a paddy field in Malaysia in the Worksheet 1 Reflection : All the students can identify items/actions in paddy planting and can describe at word/phrase level.

*2.3.3 Talk about things heard, seen or read *3.3.3 Read and understand simple paragraphs. *4.4.2 Construct simple and compound sentences based on a given stimulus

Teaching Aid : Illustrations, Word Cards, Worksheets Objective : 1. Give relevant information in response to enquiries made. 2. By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to identify and describe different types of crops. Moral Value : Appreciate healthy food Activities 1. Set Induction : Pupils listen/ see and respond to teachers questions/ illustration on crops 2. Pupils to read a text on planting of crops in Malaysia and identify different type of crops and answer comprehension questions. 3. Pupils to work in groups of 4 to name and list down words/phrases that they know and in the text that describes the different crops they are familiar with in Worksheet 2. 4. Pupils to write sentences describing crops in Worksheet 3 using words they know and relevant words provided in Worksheet 3.
