Medical Marijuana Identification Cards Disease Reporting


The Sacramento County Public Health Division has implemented a Confidential Morbidity Reporting system (WebvCMR) that allows health providers to report cases of communicable disease directly to Public Health. Elder/Senior/Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting


Adult Protective Services (APS) is dedicated to maintaining the health and safety of elderly and dependent adults who are victims of abuse or neglect. APS is a state-mandated service program charged with investigating situations involving elderly and dependent adults who are reported to be in danger due to abuse, neglect, exploitation, or hazardous or unsafe living conditions. Medically Indigent Services


The County Medically Indigent Services Program (CMISP) is a program of "last resort" designed to meet the health care needs of individuals in our community who are not otherwise eligible for health care programs such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, or private health insurance; and who meet the County's "last resort" socioeconomic eligibility standards. CMISP serves adults 19-64 years of age with incomes at approximately 0 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). CMISP has enrolled various medical service providers such as Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment providers, Surgical Centers, therapy groups, providers who do various diagnostic testing, pharmacies and laboratories. Medical Case Management will work with providers to assure that ancillary services are accessible and authorized through other enrolled medical service providers. Black Infant Health Program


The Black Infant Health Program provides service to women for the purpose of eliminating the disproportionate rate of African American infant mortality seen in the Sacramento community. African American women experience two-and-a-half times the number of infant deaths than other racial and ethnic groups in our community. View the Program page. You can register a child that was born outside of a licensed hospital birthing facility within one year of its birth at your local County Vital Records office. Child Adoptions
Sacramento County is a state licensed adoption agency. As a public adoption agency, children available are dependents of juvenile court. These children have been removed from their biological parents. The Adoptions program staff is responsible for assessing if adoption is the best plan for the child. They strive to ensure that a child and adoptive family are well-matched, and that the family will help the child develop to his or her fullest potential.
