THE PRODUCT RANGE
The range of SILICA Rigid PVC Conduits is as under: 1. Nominal Size : 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm & 50 mm. 2. Depending upon the requirement of mechqnicql stress, SILICA PVC Conduits are available in (i.) Light Duty for Light Mechanical Stress. (iii) Medium Duty for Medium Mechanical Stress. (iii) Heavy Duty for Heavy Mechanical Stress. 3. The SILICA PVC Conduits are available in Ivory and Block colours with ISI certification.

Dimensional Accuracy
SILICA Rigid PVC Conduits conformt to the stringent DimensionalTolerances ofbureau of Indian Standards as we have Vaccumsizing facilities at our works. The Dimensions are checked withGO & NO GO Gauges & the conformity to Dimensional accuracy facilitates easy fitting of all conduit accessories.

TWIN SCREW EXTRUDERS

SILICA PVC Conduits are manufactured on fully automatic latestplant & machinery utilising the time tested Twin Screw technology which ensures adequate mechanical strength. The bending jobs are carrried out with the aid of bending springs to reduce the chances of damage as conduits are prone to cracks whileloading. Indeed SILICA PVC conduits are built with High ImpactStrength & total safety in mind.

RAW MATERIAL
HIGH IMPACT STRENGTH PVC FORMULATION & ITS SIGNIFICANCE a) Virgin Suspension Grade (k-67 ) Poly Vinyl Chloride.. b) Minimum quantity of filter (Calcium Carbonate) ensures high impact strength. c) No change in dimensions/shape even after prolonged storage. d) Working temperature gets enhanced from 50C to 70C. E) Electrical characterstics such as Electrical Strength& Insulation Resistance (more than 100 ohm) improve considerably.

TESTING OF PVC CONDUIT PIPS ASS PER ISI/BS

PVC Conduit Pipes have to pass a series of quality tests before passing on to the packing department. Conduit pipes selected at random from each lot have to undergo these tests as per the quality assurance scheme of testing and inspection of BIS as per procedural details provided in IS:9537 Part-I & III specifications of BIS.

a) Maximum Outer Diameter b) Minimum Outer Diameter c) Minium Inner Diameter d) Uniformity of Wall Thickness e) Proper wall Thickness.

3. Mechanical Properties * Percentage of compression with specified load less than 25% and without load 10%.
*Tensile strength - 390-420 kg/cm2 *Impact strength - No crack on the temperature ranging from 60 c to 5 c. *Bend Test-Satisfactory result on different temperature at -5 c + - 2 c and 27c + -2c

4 Electrical Properties *Dielectrical strength-36kv/mm *Specific resistance - 6.1x 1014 ohm cm.
Electrical strength - on 2000 volts (AC) no break down occurs.

5. Thermal Properties * Working temp. - 70 c *Burning rate - Self Extinguishing *Flammability - UL94V - 0 *Flame Die out time - Less than 30 sec..
