Branch Manager Installation

Basic Machine Requirements: OS: Windows XP RAM: 1 GB Partition: Create a Logical partition with D: drive 2 NIC Cards: Eth0 should have the Local IP. (Default gateway & DNS server Value should be Blank) Eth1 should have the WAN IP. (I.e.10 series IP & DNS server Value should be Blank)

1) This is the Multicast Group to be enabled on your Router: - 239.110.110.21(IP) 20100 (PORT)

2) Enable this Ips and Port also in your Router. 172.22.254.22 - 65000,35000,35001,35002 172.22.254.21 - 35000, 35001, 35002, 35005

3) Please telnet and check this port and IP from the BM machine. If Telnet is working, please go forward with the remaining configurations.

4) Install NOW Setup.exe in that PC before proceeding with the below steps. NOW Setup.zip which will be available on NSE FTP in /COMMON/NOW folder.

5) Copy the VSAT-LL Windows Branch Manager Setup_v3.zip file to D Drive and unzip it. It will contain: NOW_BM_v3.zip Branch Manager Setup.pdf Process flow NOW on VSAT - LL ver 1.3 Unzip the NOW_BM_v3.zip file to D Drive.

6) Double Click the DLL_SETUP.exe present in D:\NOW folder. This will automatically copy the dlls required to start the Branch Manager in C:\windows\system32 folder. When the above action is completed you will see the below screen. Click Finish.

7) Open the BranchManager.exe present in D:\NOW folder

8) In the BranchManager.exe click on Configure button

9) Enter values in the editable fields as below: LIC_SRVER = The LOCAL LAN IP address of your machine. Domain_name_local = <your member code>_domain WAN IP = The Wan IP address of your machine. M/C NAME = Host name of your machine. 10) Click Save and close the window.

11) Copy the nestclient.ini file from D:\Now folder to C:\ProgramFiles\NOW\

12) Multicast_sender.exe will be used to forward broadcast from WAN IP to LAN IP. Double Click the Multicast_sender.exe present in D:\NOW Folder.

Only the Interface IP field is enabled. Please change 0.0.0.0 to the WAN IP of your BM machine. Click on Save. Click File-> Connect

13) Start Now_BM_v3.exe in D:\Now folder: A command prompt will appear. Please do not close this window. Please wait patiently for the processes to start and the exe to come up.

14) Check the following processes in Task Manager. (Total 6 processes will start) OMNELicenserver.exe OMNEUDPGateway.exe OMNELocationBroker.exe OMNECBR.exe OMNECBR.exe OMNECBR.exe

NOTE: Once all the 6 processes are started you will get the Launch Now.exe Login Screen. Enter your LoginID & Password

15) Minimize the command prompt. NOTE: Never Close that Command Prompt. You have successfully installed BM. Provide the nestclient.ini file from D:\Now folder to the dealer terminals [C:\Program Files\NOW] that will be connecting to your BM.
