The Mayor
Popular former Red Sean Casey tonight joins Thom Brennaman on the FOX Game of the Week broadcast...during
pre-game ceremonies at Great American Ball Park next Saturday afternoon, Casey will be inducted into the Reds
Hall of Fame along with 2 other former first basemen, Dan Driessen and 19th Century player John Reilly.
TONIGHT'S GAME: Is Game 2 (1-0) of a 3-game series vs Bill Shannon's Mets and Game 2 (1-0) of a 6-game road
trip that includes an upcoming visit to Cle's Progressive Field...is the Reds' second visit to Citi Field this season...split
a 2-game series here in May as part of a 5-day stay in New York that included a 2-1 series win at Yankee Stadium...
the Redlegs are coming off a 5-4 homestand vs the Pirates (1-2), Tigers (1-2) and Indians (3-0)...following this road
trip return to Great American Ball Park for their final homestand of the season's first half (3g vs Min, 3g vs Mil).
DOT, DOT, DOT....: At 36-27 the Reds are 9g over .500 and lead the NL Central Division by 4.0g, both season
highs...haven't led the division by more than 4.0g since they won the 2010 National League Central by 5.0g over
the Cardinals...the Reds' bullpen leads the National League in ERA (2.65) and opponents' BA (.206) while ranking
second in relief strikeouts (210, Col 225)...6 times in the last 8g Reds batters produced at least 10 hits (89-288,
.309)...on this date in 1978, while pitching for the Reds Tom Seaver threw his first career no-hitter (4-0 win vs StL).

pitched in last night's 4-1 Bats loss vs Rochester (0.2ip, 2h, 2er, 1bb, 1k, 25 pitches)...3B Scott Rolen, on the 15-day
disabled list since 5/12 with a strained left shoulder, last night began what is expected to be a 2-game rehab stint at
Louisville (1-3, 1k).
START ME UP: Through 63g the Reds have used only 5 starting pitchers (Bronson Arroyo, Homer Bailey, Johnny
Cueto, Mat Latos, Mike Leake)...is the Reds' longest such streak to open a season since 1992, when in the 80th
game of that schedule (7/6 at Cubs) Keith Brown became the staff's sixth starting pitcher behind Jose Rijo, Tom
Browing, Tim Belcher, Greg Swindell and Chris Hammond...Mia is the only other team this season to use only 5
starting pitchers (Anibal Sanchez, Mark Buehrle, Carlos Zambrano, Josh Johnson, Ricky Nolasco).
PLAYING SMALL: At least 1 home run has been hit in each of the last 59g at Great American Ball Park, dating back

homer streak in the Major Leagues and the longest home run streak in GABP history (41g, 8/9/07-5/5/08, courtesy
Elias Sports Bureau)...there have been 60 homerless contests in the ballpark's 764 games...only twice in the park's
10-year existence has there been a streak of 2 straight games without a home run by either team (8/6-8/7, 2005 vs
Fla & 4/5-4/6, 2011 vs Hou)...there never has been a 3-game homerless stretch at GABP...earlier this season, there
were 29 home runs hit during the homestand from 5/21-5/27 (Reds 17, Braves 6, Rockies 6), a new GABP record for
